Awsome ride by Hushovd today, going solo and working so hard for almost 25 km alone in front of the break and then the peleton. Congratulations.

Wow Hushovd. Didn't see the race or anything, but from the few posts I read here it seems he raced petty impressive. Maybe Hushovd isn't quite done yet.

I must say it was an incredible finish in Norway. Hushovd winning in his hometown with two bike lengths after a 25 km solo ride. Great stuff.

win RR, all 3 are not riding the Tour
Santaromita as well. That was a p. epic solo ride by Hushovd, almost caught on the line.

Nice win for Hushovd. :)

Gilbert can only manage 6th in Belgium while Hushovd wins solo in Norway. I wonder what BMC management is thinking now. :D
I reckon they know the difference between the Norwegian nats and the Belgian nats.

Gilbert wasn't great today, but not bad either. And let's be honest, Hushovd hasn't had the kind of season that merits a Tour selection.

Cav's Group has 4.20 on Luke Rowe and 5.43 on other chasers.

Would be the first time he wins the British Championships, right?

eta: always nice if he wears a different jersey to make him easy to spot in the sprint. ;)

Santaromita did Trentino-Giro-Dauphine. Doubt that the Tour was ever planned

Well neither has Gilbert really. They've both been crap this season. But 25 km solo and holding on for the win is an impressive performance. Don't know exactly what happened in the Belgian RR though, will have to watch highlights later.

He's easy to spot anyways, don't think there is another rider in the field that sprints with his chin below the handlebars :D

30,000 spectators on the course at the UK Nationals according to Glasgow Police. Tour is going to be insane next year.

The curse of Rabo continues with Blanco - Gesink fell off his bike at the start and has bruised ribs - neither he nor Mollema finished the race.

*facepalm*

Nice win for Hushovd. What a respond to team managers. I like that spirit.

I am very surprised by EBH allowing it. This should have been his race.

But Mollema fell?
