Brady to Tampa or the Chargers ? Dalton to the Patriots ? Not many QBs around for the Patriots to choose from. Mariota to the Raiders and Tannehill re-signed. Keenum to the Browns. Rivers and Cam probably being looked at by some teams. A few teams obviously waiting for the draft to select a QB.

I think most Panther fans knew it wasn't Cam asking to be traded. He does have 1 year on his current contract.

And now they’ve stuffed themselves by signing Teddy and making out like Cam was desperate for a move. Teams aren’t going to be very open with offers knowing how much they want Cam off their books.

Cam, Luke, Olsen, Bradberry, McCoy, Reid and Irvin all gone, it’s going to be a long old season for us Panthers fans.

I wonder if he is OK sitting behind JB12 for a few years?
He had his eye surgery. Hopefully that helps him ! He might end up with a starting spot elsewhere especially when QB injuries start to happen whenever that will be ! Everyone knows he has talent it 's just the ridiculous amounts of intercepts he throws. . If Brady goes to Tampa wonder what the Chargers will do ? Doesn't seem to be a great draft for QBs, more for WRs and maybe corners if you believe the talking heads. Bengals, Redskins and Dolphins will almost certainly take the top draft QBs but there will be plenty of horse trading as usual. Redskins don't seem to be sold on Haskins. Chicago seem to have had enough of Trubisky as well even though he played better in the second half of the season. Raiders might trade Carr if they think Mariota is the answer. That could be a mistake ! Don't really see much interest in Cam. Panthers will find a home for him elsewhere if they are lucky ! Keenum will end up with the starters job at the Browns if Baker doesn't step up.

Not sure if Pro Football Talk (PFT) is just NBC sports recaps but it's one of the places I read that Brady wants Antonio Brown as part of his new mix.

with contract numbers discussed that I have seen 22-30 million for Brady I am not sure the deeper, long term objective. 42 years old, and everything new or wished to be new like the offensive line..just wondering what is motivating Tom. His health is pretty good considering everything, and he expressed lots of new emotions as he was pressured or sacked a little more than before this year.
Will Tampa be able to protect Tom? AB on slants gets rid of the ball..
?

I think most if not all the teams that can protect their QB are the ones that already have QB's.

I don't know but he has said on multiple occasions he wants to play until he is 45. I don't know why he picked 45. People have constantly said that he can't play until 45 without a huge dropoff and most of success is from Belichick. He has shown he constantly wants to prove people wrong. Heck people say he's still upset about the late round draft pick. So he might just want to do it to say yes I can be good/great till 45, I can win without Belichick, and I can do it at an advanced age.

I don't know why TB though since he plays bad in the heat unless practicing there will help out with that.

Without 2-3 all pro offensive lineman and an incredibly talented tight end, Brady will be on the IR by week 6. Even with the new "protect the QB at all costs" rules.

Thought the Chargers was a better option.. Say one thing for Bill, he never plays favourites. The revolving door policy and everyone is expendable. He is happy to use players for a season, and see them get paid elsewhere especially if he wins a SB in the process, then start the process all over again.

Foles was only worth a 4th round pick................Texans trade of Hopkins was a head scratcher for an RB who is no longer elite. Maybe they should have just re-signed Carlos Hyde, he had a pretty good season and there are usually plenty of unemployed or tradeable RBs around to pick up.

Rumor has it that coach was threatened by Hopkins power in the locker room.

Tampa Bay ownership has to be pleased that their season tickets are actually selling with news of Brady coming. His jersey will sell like crazy, which it was always in the top 5 most sold jerseys.

As a player I wonder if they would rather play with Brady or for Belichick all this time and into the future.

That is if it is true, players wanting to go to Tampa Bay because Brady is now there. Rumors they could acquire Gurley and Brown which would stack the team even more.

Obviously Tom Terrific sees things few see both on and off the field. Because I think he is "that guy" I don't think any decision he will make will be w/o the input of studied professionals.
a few elements that I am sure were carefully considered..wide receivers. Patriots were often hard to coach against because if you respected \ anticipated the pass too much, then an effective running attack ruined your day. Linebackers w too much pass coverage responsibility..gave statistical edge to Brady..count on 3+ per carry is one thing but second and 3 quarter defenses giving closer to 4 yards you get guys like Gronkowski and Edelman looking like superstars for holding their block and turning around to get the ball in the numbers.
I wish Brady well and the separation of NFL quarterbacks..those who can run..and require defensive schemes to combat it and Tom.
Brady is the only survivor of the wild cat area..started by Kordell Stewart officially. Were a coaching staff ,front office and player played the high stakes gamble of what happens when a QB goes running around open field w linebackers,D-backs and other tackling head hunters. 99% of the time the QB ends up broken into pieces..
Wishbones and power I's don't work long term in the NFL thus far.
Brady has lasted because of a pocket and unbelievably proficiency..if either goes away so will he..
I hope he can do it,but at 42 he better have at least watched some Doug Williams films..

Gurley will have to be on load management. Clearly not the player he was but in tandem with another good RB it might work depending on the rest of the offense as well. No cure for knee arthritis, eventually many people need a new knee and that's the non athletes.............a couple more seasons will probably see him off. A shame cause he was so good in his first season.

And Gurley is off to the falcons which is a good choice.

IMO, Winston should go to NE. If the two QB whisperers can cut his picks in half, he can be one of the best QBs in the league. Plus I like the 'swap'.

IMO, DEN should be pushing hard to get Winston. Same thing here, if they can cut his picks in half...

Frequently its discussed that"X" just needs to gain confidence (self, system, receivers...). With JW I thick it might be the opposite, he just needs to realize that he can't make some throws. I still wonder if the eye surgery will make a difference. Maybe with better vision he will literally see that the ball can't get there.
