If Denver can contain Dobbs I think they can beat the Vikings.
Texans have been playing well but also giving up a lot of points. Arizona run game is underrated and with Murray also scrambling it could be a long day for the Texans. Cards in an upset.
Hawks should beat the Rams but it could take them a while to get on top. Could be close.
Eagles will probably never get a better opportunity to beat the Chiefs. Eagles in a close one.
Raiders need their offense to match their defense or improve anyway. Miami but not by a lot of points.
Don't think Fields will be enough to beat Detroit.
Browns and Steelers should be a hard fought game. Steelers in a close one.
Bills and Jets will probably be an ugly game but somehow the Bills should do enough to win.
Chargers should win but you can never tell with them. GB looks pretty mid at the moment.

Not to this level. EE wasn't the same guy he had been.

I wouldn't say that's 100% true. A lot can change in a few months. Let's see what happens come NCAA playoffs, and after Staley is fired.
EE may not have been what he once was, but he had 850-900 yards and 12 TDs in a backup role, while TP went over 1000 and 10 (?) TDs. That's a really good 1-2 punch.

You don't know what you are talking about.. I know for sure it's either the Chargers or Joe Flacco winning the Super Bowl that's a sure thing!!
But seriously.. I look at Philadelphia and Baltimore and even the Dolphins and look like a different league than the Chargers.. w or without a new coach(s)

The SF-TB score made the game look closer than it was. The 49ers always had things in hand, and Purdy played great. Did I hear correct that Shanahan said Hufanga had torn his ACL? That would be really bad for SF.

Tough loss for Seattle. They had the game locked up, but managed to lose.

Another ugly loss for the Chargers. Most painful team in the NFL to cheer for. I'm not sure firing Staley will stop the bleeding, but it may make fans, and perhaps players, feel a bit better.

Goff and the Lions pulled a rabbit out of their hat to beat the Bears. They were having a heck of a time containing Fields, but Goff twice drove them down the field late to win.

Nice team win for the Texans vs. Arizona.

After the Bills pancaked the Jets, and Wilson had yet another sub par game, I wonder if they will go with Tim Boyle in the future. He wasn't effective either, but he also didn't practice with the first team, and he's Aaron Rodgers personal back-up of choice.

Sounds like Hufanga might have done an ACL. Charvarius Ward was also injured but may not be bad.

Be interesting to see what the Jets do with Wilson next season. Patriots QB the same. Not a good time for Geno to hurt his elbow with another game on Thursday.

Chargers are a mystery. Detroit dodged a bullet. Browns continue to win with the back up QB. The defense keeps stepping up.

Vikings and Denver close at the half.

Drew Lock, WTF!
Maybe the worst outing of his career. When in recent games (preseason and garbage time), he looked like he could maybe start again somewhere. But his numbers were just atrocious. 2/6 passing for 4 yards, with one interception.

That's because their starting QB isn't very good, and their team is all defense. But I'll give DTR some credit. He played a fast pro-set game in college (for Chip Kelly at UCLA) and has an NFL arm. He looked very good in the pre-season, and despite one bad game against the Ravens, he showed this week he can play. Too bad the Browns cant get out of that disastrous Watson contract (and all those picks back).

Denver contained them when it counted and Mr. Wilson seems to be in line with Mr. Payton.

What a sad Viking team at crunch time. They have the ball with buck 3 left at their 25 with all 3 TOs needin g only an effin FG to win the game! (they only needed about 35-40 yds to get Joseph's range). Dobbs was pathetic out there. It's not like he's a rookie or a 2nd yr guy, etc - he's been in the league for several years! He looked lost, dazed & confused for most of the 2nd half. He needs to get out of football & pursue a career in the Aeronautical Engineering field that he studied in college - that's his real talent.

The backups in this league for most part absolutely suck. Saleh finally pulls Wilson & Tim Boyle stinks. Rodgers must be pulling his hair out at how pathetic the backup QB situation is at the Jets. Amazing they pay these guys good $$$ to play so crappy. Lol.

I only saw the last 2 minutes and Dobbs was on the run every snap. They didn't have any receiver coverage broadcast so I couldn't see if there was nowhere to go but, honestly he had no time to look. Denver D line did that job.

Weren't you singing his praises a week ago? His bigtime NFL play?!

Agree that was a pretty sad last drive for the Vikings. The way their offense moved the ball in the first half, then slowly puttered out, with Dobbs playing worse and worse. It was awful.

What solution do you have though? Even if they went back and made the season 12 games long, we'd still be looking at what we are! Flag football maybe?!
Get rid of him in any way possible. Lol. If he's on the team next year he won't survive hostile Jet fan base & the wrath of NY sports media.
THAT I will agree with 1000%. Having lived near and spent a lot of time in the NE, and around the NYC market, people don't realize this, but you are right. He's headed towards Richie Kotite, Stephon Marbury level of infamy and derision at the rate Zach is going (yes, there are still plenty of people in NY that bash Kotite all these years later). It takes someone who can ignore the noise, and win enough (Eli Manning), or just embrace the hostility of the fans (Rex Ryan) to often survive there if you or your team isn't doing well.

BS - I was seeing receivers open over the middle that he wasn't seeing (I was watching the game on Peacock stream playing back the downs during the commercial breaks). He has 3 TOs & can use the entire field but yet keeps throwing to the sidelines???

Is he an NFL QB getting paid decent money or is he doing it for free? Lol And didn't he have a whole week to prepare for Denver and this "ferocious" D-Line? Didn't he study film enough familiarizing himself with defense's tendencies in different downs & distance situations? What about an audible & adjustment package? I'm sure O'Connell has got a top-notch audible/adjustment package to use against "ferocious" D-lines (remember Payton Manning studied film at his home to the wee hours of the night?).

Backup QBs are paid good money to play & win when they're number gets called. So many look ill-prepared out there as if they never played professional football before. Lol It's a sad state of affairs.

Pay these backups league minimum with incentives that if their number gets called they'll be paid big bonuses if they win games. Tie in salary to performance based. When these backups are getting paid really good dough for sitting the bench most of year, many probably don't care if they perform badly if their number is called. They know at the end of the season, they'll probably be traded to another team still making their few million a year. If it doesn't bother them being labeled as a journeyman - and moving all the U.S. - life as an NFL backup in really paradise in this day & age.

Chargers have now lost 14 games by 3 points or less since the 2020 season. An NFL record.

Bills stadium went very quiet watching another one of their p;layers being taken away in an ambulance...........

With his 35th career fourth-quarter comeback in Week 11, Stafford broke a tie with Pro Football Hall of Famer Johnny Unitas for the sixth most fourth-quarter comebacks in NFL history. The five players that Stafford trails are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Ryan and Drew Brees.

I couldn't see the Seattle/LA game but the scrolled play by play looked like a defensive affair. Anyone have an analysis?
SEA had 130 penalty yards. Many drive killers for SEA and drive extenders for LAR.
Smith's arm got hammered so Lock came in and looked like he had never even played the game before.
Questionable play calling either from the sidelines or in Smith's head.
Myers had a chance with a last second 54 yarder, but decided that it was a good time to try a different approach (WTF?!).

Hawks will be sweating on Geno being ready for Thursday. Sounds like Walker is banged up as well. 49ers have lost Hufanga and Banks is still out with turf toe.

Maybe paradise or actual hell if you have a family. IMO they worked all of their life to be in the Show and do everything they can when given an opportunity. Unfortunately it comes at a critical, stressful moment in a game or garbage time where nothing is at stake and no one remembers the contribution.
Not that I feel sorry for a 3rd string, $3m a year clipboard bearer.

What I saw was an immediate collapse of the pocket and Dobbs diving out the backside to bail out. Unless he had eyes in the back of his head while he was escaping there was no time to do much else. Maybe earlier in the quarter there were opportunities our coverage didn't show but the last series was like skiing with one ski in an avalanche. An angry avalance.
