Anyone else here think if the Titans draft Cam Ward, and the Browns draft Shedeur Sanders, there is no possible way Deion will let his son play for the dysfunctional dumpster fire of an org that the Browns are?
Spot on...It'll be a clown show come draft time. Lol

Another dud blowout this weekend. This is the Rams team that beat the Bills, beat the Vikings earlier in the year, and good wins over SF and Seattle. The pass protection is very good, Stafford and his receivers are in sync. The D did excellent against the pass. If they play like this next week they can definitely beat the Eagles.

The Vikings looked even worse than against the Lions. Darnold hasn't played well, but their OL has been terrible.

Darnold is gone. JJ will be the Vikings QB next season.

What a waste of a 14 win season. The Vikings were dominated in two straight games.

The NFC north has been the best division (who knows what would have happened with the Bears had they not lost that Hail Mary game vs the Commanders after a 4-2 start) this season but now only the Lions are still alive, and they haven’t even played yet. My money is on them to make it out of the NFC. If they are healthy coming in to next week, and their defense plays the way it did against the Vikes, I don’t see anyone beating them in the conference.

Their toughest opponent is likely to be Chiefs/Ravens/Bills. But we have to wait a bit for that.

Kellen Moore has a leg up according to several 'voices' in D. Jones knows and liked him, Kellen knows Jones.
Prime baby!

Get Deion in there. Send Dak to the Browns for their draft pick, then draft Shedeur! Win-win-win for the Cowboys! Yee-haw!

I won't be at all surprised if the Bears or Saints pursue Mike McCarthy. Jets may too.

So far it seems Jon Gruden is still a bit too radioactive. I haven't heard that a single team is interviewing him.

Similar to the season a few years ago when the Vikings went on a winning run, they couldn't replicate it in the playoffs. Darnold saved his worst two games for the last two and was holding the ball much too long. Refs made a few weird decisions which hardly affected the game result Rams looked in control early and stayed that way. Actually Darnold and Cousins look similar when they get to the playoffs. Darnold probably cost himself a more lucrative contract next season but someone will take him. Vikings were out coached and outplayed. Two intriguing games in the NFC next week. Same with the AFC. I'm not writing off the Texans at all while the other game could be a great one.

McCarthy was supposed to be interviewing for the Bears job until Jerry stopped it but I think it ended up going ahead. More talk about Saleh getting the Jags job or near the top of the preferred applicants. If it happened, Dennis Allen would be one of the favourites to pick up the 49ers DC job probably. They already interviewed Saleh and one of the Browns coordinators

That was crappy game!
Replying to myself...

I don't take back my assertion, but the Rams D was very good. LAR D good plus MIN O line terrible equals Darnold running scared...MIN O terrible. Troy or Joe pointed it out last night, that when Stafford is on, watch out.

As far as Darnold's future goes, the last few weeks haven't helped his agent, but he will make plenty of money next year with MIN or another team.

Come on next weekend, good games, good games, good games...

Supposedly he and Jones (family) have already talked.

A pretty reliable TX voice (~80% correct rate) was the one talking about Moore. He comes on our local sports radio show a few times a year to give his take on players with Idaho ties. Who knows, we'll see. Honestly, Kellen is a really nice guy, a football mastermind, but I don't think that he has HC in him.

Vikings were sub standard in every category!! Rams had bunch of underneath routes that kept secondary honest and playing their position, getting beat on the line of scrimmage had Rams pretty much in control, and Minnesota offensive line couldn't do anything at the line of scrimmage.. If Darnold is above average he has not shown anything for weeks.. For me watching Commanders and Vikings just a night and day difference at every position.. Went from watching a dynamic game, 2 good teams, to watching Vikings play like doormats..

Yeah, I think Gruden is blackballed for obvious reasons. No owner wants to take that risk.

I'm hearing the Bears have an interest in Marcus Freeman of ND. I imagine they'll wait until after the CFP championship game, and if he were to win that game he could become a hot commodity:

So much for the Rams complaining about losing home field advantage. Lol.

So, I guess it'll be JJ at the helm on day 1? (assuming his knee is good & he has a decent preseason).

What's your take on Darnold? Was that just an anomaly last night & he's actually a worthy franchise QB? Where do you think he'll end up at & at what cost? Do think the Raiders might be interested? (it doesn't look like they'll be able to draft either Sanders or Ward without working out some kind of massive trade with Tenn, Clev or the Giants).

That's impressive playing through that type of injury - transverse process fractures of the spine are very painful & debilitating.

I have some transverse process fractures of the lower lumbar region when I was T-boned in a bad MV accident back in 2017 (idiot driver was texting & blew the red light). I need to do one hour daily of home/gym rehab to be able to sleep & stay off of pain meds. But I'm a capped at about a max of a 2 hr ride & have to be careful not to fall.

I am really enjoying listening to all of the talking heads complaining that Jerry Jones gets too much air time...while they are giving him more air time! o_O
It's funny that in an exclusive club of the most exclusive, Jones and Robert Craft get lots of time in front of the camera compared with the other few owners. I think Jones has something of that Raiders, Lakers, Yankees thing going on.. I think many people throughout the world love the Dallas Cowboys regardless of their current team or record. Just a love for the franchise and famous history. I have seen people wearing Dallas Cowboys gear that have never seen them play..
My story is contrary, in Europe and Middle East when I was wearing Chargers hat or t-shirt people would ask if it was a lightning bolt from a Marvel movie or brand of sports drink or cola!! Almost nobody ever recognized Chargers.. Dallas has global recognition!! Don't get me going about what people have said about my Padres hats!!!

If you had worn a Raiders shirt, people would have flocked to you more with admiration, and not assumed you were some Marvel character. ;)

Packers and Steelers are two other teams that have a certain cache about their "brand". Plenty of history. Super Bowl wins in the good ol' days. Fans across the country, the planet, etc.
Similar to the season a few years ago when the Vikings went on a winning run, they couldn't replicate it in the playoffs.
In 2022 they overperformed going 13-4, but gave up more points than they scored, and more yards than they gained. Then quietly folded with Cousins in the playoffs against a lowly 9-7-1 Giants team.

In 2017 they went 13-3 with Case Keenum (and a whole lot of other pieces), beat the Saints in the "Minneapolis Miracle", then were stomped by the Eagles with Foles.

Kellen Moore seems like a career OC to me. He's quite good at it, and it just seems like his destiny. He was considered a smart QB in college, not big enough to play in the NFL (bigger than Bryce though), but did make it, and played okay in some games anyway. He's had to rely on his offensive wits more than anything, and made the most of it.

I think so, without question. As you pointed out, they drafted him high, and gushed about him. He also showed all the tools in college. Had Darnold maybe got them to the NFC Championship it may have been a different story.
What's your take on Darnold? ...Do think the Raiders might be interested?
No. I think that would be a big mistake. Darnold isn't taking the Raiders anywhere. Their OL is worse than the Vikings. They don't have their receivers or Jefferson. They have so many holes, paper thin depth, no HC or GM. Signing Darnold would make sense if they think he's the guy to build the franchise around as they start to get the ship turned around. Otherwise, well, let me give you a vision that should be very clear:

Garoppolo. Minshew. Darnold.

See a pattern here?

If the Raiders somehow get Ben Johnson, I think there's a better chance he tries to bring Hendon Hooker over with him. Hooker was a huge talent in college when he tore his ACL at the worst time, missed the end of his college season, couldn't perform at the Combine or Pro Day, fell to Detroit in the draft, and has just sat behind Goff, learning, from...Ben Johnson.

Ward (or Shedeur) go to Tennessee. There's a chance if Sanders goes first, then Ward could end up in Cleveland. But there is no possible way Deion will let Shedeur step foot in a Browns facility. No way. So the Browns either trade out of the pick, take Hunter or someone else, and Shedeur goes to the Giants, which I think would be fine with dad.

Derek Carr had a transverse fracture during the 2017 season, and somehow missed parts of just two games. Tony Romo tried playing through it, and I can't recall how long he lasted. Jameis Winston had a transverse fracture, plus another broken bone somewhere in his back, and he tried in play in practice and couldn't. My ex fell awkwardly off a pull-up bar and suffered a transverse fracture, probably not as bad as yours. But she was quite limited. Lots of PT. Lots of ice (or heat), no lifting anything. No bending and twisting. Took weeks to really start to heal. Playing football with such a fracture seems unimaginable.
