Aikman is right. This has gotten ridiculous. (Former) Raiders coach Antonio Pierce put it aptly, at some point, if Mahomes is going to get damn near every call, someone is going to take one for the team and just clock him, or "Siragusa" him. Accept the penalty, ejection, fine and suspension. That would equalized the calls instantly. No Mahomes = No Chiefs.

Wow!...what an entertaining game in KC! Ferocious hitting in the cold! Sluggish offensive performance by KC with absolutely no run game. Other than wide-open throws to Kelce & a few nice strikes to Worthy, the passing game was sub-par (Mahomes didn't play one of his better games & got some lucky breaks on a couple of cheesy unnecessary roughness calls). The long layoff had more of an effect than I thought. But it was turnover-free football, Spagnuolo's D & the special teams that rose to the occasion turning the game around in the 4th (Karlaftis was a madman out there!).

Stroud was impressive as hell out there & played his guts out - injuring his knee earlier in the game but continuing to perform. Some real nice throws (precision passes to Schultz) & he showed his dual-threat capability with some great scrambles adding 40 yards rushing. Too bad his D & special teams stunk. Lol. I see a lot of upside with Stroud. He's a winner & I think he transcend into the elite QB category.

Mahomes is now an unbelievable 7-0 in the divisional playoffs. Congrats to Reid for his 300th career win. Since the general consensus here was that KC would win, it's no surprise then that they move on to their 7th consecutive AFCGC.

Do my Commies have a chance against the Lions tonight?
It's possible. .anything can happen in the playoffs. Look how close the KC game was --- Houston was in that game for 3 1/2 quarters.

The Lions might be a little sluggish from the bye, the Wash D could come in with a good game plan & Daniels could get hot with his dual-threat capabilities.

All the Commanders have to do is keep it close giving them a chance for an upset.

To be fair, a lot of Chiefs games have like this. Surely they can’t keep getting away with it? Surely….?

I don't know what you mean? I guess everyone is going to keep saying how lucky the Chiefs are, they're overrated and Mahomes gets all the calls favoring him, and blah... blah...blah.

But lets analyze this game for a minute - what's wrong with Houston's passing D & special teams? That's why they lost the game...simple. How in the hell does the D keep letting Kelce get wide open like that where he catches everything thrown to him & has excellent run after catch capability (I think many of us here could have thrown those passes to him. Lol). And their special teams sucks - a missed & blocked FG, missed extra point, etc. Kickers out of all positions on the team have to be virtuall flawless in the playoffs - their screwed-ups can really mess things up in a close game & take momentum out of team. And that's exactly what happen when Fairbairn missed the extra point that would have kept Houston in a one score game.

Bottom line: Stroud single-handedly kept that game close. But KC is tough to beat at home especially in the playoffs - all of course with a healthy Mahomes.

Shadow, I got here first so I'll save you a few typing strokes: There shouldn't have been a flag on PM's scramble (he's a runner, and it there was no illegal contact). The other one, while 'fluffy', I saw called a dozen times like that this season.
I didn’t watch the game so I have no idea what happened on film; I’ve just seen the box score, play by play, and the commentary/Facebook complaints. Chiefs special teams have played maybe their best game, defense is doing great as usual, and the offense were mistake free with Kelce having a huge game. It should be a good AFCGC next week.

Lions up 7-3 but that fumble by Goff could be big.

Maybe they should Alpe. Have a coach instruct a player to take out Mahomes (as well as other good ones like Allen & Jackson as well). So, the "hitman" gets ejected, fined & suspended (and there would probably be one hell of a sideline clearing fight with more fines & suspensions. Lol). But in all fairness, wasn't some of the great ones in the past, like Elway, Montana, Brees, Brady, etc, getting protected by the refs?

Texans special teams were awful. against the Chiefs those mistakes are suicidal.

Detroit defense giving up big points in the first half. Looks ominous for them. I watched them in the 49ers game about a month ago and it looked bad then against a 49ers offense that hadn't performed all season. The signs were there and many of their other wins relied on posting high scores, practically the total opposite to the Chiefs.

They’ve dealt with injuries, that’s played a part. That said, they played very well against the Vikes.
