It is covered by the NFL protocol and teams are supposed to enforce and go by it. Packers were not enforcing and NFL did not step in. Packers then tried saying they told Rodgers to adhere to protocol and he ignored them. Same with the parties, at the time they could not gather, go to clubs, parties, etc if unvaccinated and that changed after the Rodgers situation. For him it looked like the Packers and NFL did not want to punish their top and top 3 draw with the Packers also trying to make amends with him. The NFL had 7 days after the party to do something and they didn’t, they only punished them after Rodgers tested positive.
The other three lied to the NFL and got fake documents. In fact I’m surprised Brown wasn’t punished heavier for the past things as he keeps doing stupid and bad things. Of course theirs is worse in that they lied to everyone while Packers and the NFL are complacent with Rodgers. The 3 should be punished but Rodgers, Packers, and whoever NFL personal that was their job, should all have been more punished as well. And I would not be surprised if more players do not have fakes as well.
Now of course Rodgers does not have to tell the media the truth, but he still has too follow the rules. He did not for months and they got a slap on the wrist. When the NFL has punished far lesser things harsher for “tarnishing the name of the league and bringing bad publicity”. Not only did he break the rules but brought a huge amount of backlash. So it’s crazy that they would suspend one star quarterback and draw for telling the commissioner to F off but the one that violated the rules gets a fine.
And he’s hell of a player, I always supported him and my family likes him and the Packers and still do though want the team to lose since Brady is in the NFC now if they’re ahead of the Bucs.
