DAL vs. LVR was entertaining and down to the OT wire, but there must have been at least 30 penalties called (20 accepted?).

NOLA joins the ranks of Jr. High teams this week. I know that TS is the 4th string QB, but do they have an offense? Injuries.
With the amount of penalties in the Dallas Las Vegas game it would appear that they were also joining the ranks of the Jr. High teams.

Seahawks fans have been spoiled the past decade, but this looks like the end of an era.
I'd be more worried about the next few years considering they don't have their first round pick for 2022 and Wilson might wanna move to a different team.
I've been a fan since '76 so I've experienced some poor season, but this year could be one of the worst. I knew the run of good seasons would end, but I didn't expect the end to be a drop off of a cliff.

What's tough to watch is a fairly good defensive effort wasted due to very poor Offensive play calling. It's like their playbook has been left in the opposing team's coaching booth. Very few series that have any rhythm have shown up and the deep ball becomes more defensible. Confidence sucks as well.

The media is already speculating who goes first, Carroll or Wilson ? Injuries haven't helped them but you can say that about a lot of teams I suppose. The hand injury to their best offensive weapon obviously isn't helping. Even early in the season they didn't look that good and neither did the Niners while the Rams and the Cowboys are starting to paddle a little but that Cowboys schedule still looks pretty favourable. In the NFC it looks very open and that side of the draw will have some surprises. Or lets just say I'm not that convinced by the top teams in the NFC so far.

Bucs Antonio Brown and Mike Edwards and free agent John Franklin III suspended for 3 games. Unsure on if Brown’s suspension starts now or when he can play again as he is said to be out for at least another 2 weeks from the injury while Edwards’s loss worsens their pass protection even more with the injuries at corner.

Edit: An ESPN article says they can return 12/26 for the Carolina game.

Crazy how the league goes after the ones that lied to them for endangering others but not the one lying to everyone else.

Is it? I've probably missed loads of discussion on this but if Rodgers' vaccination status was known to the league and he was adhering to the unvaccinated protocols I guess their view would be he's free to lie others and they can judge him for it/deal with him through the courts if they feel he has endangered them. Lying to the league means that unvaccinated people are not falling under their unvaccinated protocols which is certainly a problem they need to deal with.

I think that's the wrong approach personally, but I don't think it's crazy the league are taking that approach.

He wasn’t adhering to the protocol with not wearing a mask to and in the media room and going to parties for months, just like these three and who knows how many others since the only reason we know this is Brown pissed off his employee. The only reason he and the team were fined was not informing the league he will be at the party. When it clearly says they are not allowed to gather or go to parties, clubs, etc. of course there is a difference between lying and forging to trick your employer to telling your employer and team the truth while lying to everyone else and they should be punished harder (and I think more games honestly). But the Packers got a slap on the wrist. Now I guess you can argue the greater punishment was him being out and losing to the Chiefs and maybe their chance at the 1 seed.

Now of course the NFL and Packers have said he followed the other protocol when it came in regards to wearing a mask and social distancing. But then the Packers also came out and tried putting the majority of the blame on Rodgers saying they would tell him BEFORE he left the locker room to go to the media room without a mask on other occasions and he’d ignore them. NFL’s punishments have been inconsistent at times. Heck they suspended Brady for 4 games because of the cold weather and he told Goodell to F off.

Is the media room covered by the NFL protocol or the teams protocol? And did either try and enforce it? Same with parties. I'd assume that he can attend them in free time as long as he is tested and adheres to the unvaccinated protocols, I'd be very surprised if they banned him from socialising but I don't know.

The difference is huge, because if both the team and the NFL knew then his behaviour was deemed appropriate apart from that one infraction. What the other three did was much, much worse and while there are no doubt others doing the same thing, that's not a reason to not punish these players appropriately.

On the face of it, the punishments seem reasonable (or at least appropriate when compared to each other, I'm sure people could argue both could be increased or decreased).

Ditto to what shadow said, AR was not adhering to the correct protocols.

I'm not sure if I understand your assertion KB.
AR-not vaccinated, not adhering to the not vaccinated rules.
AB-not vaccinated, not adhering to the not vaccinated rules.
The only difference is that the NFL knew that AR was lying, but they just found out that AB was lying.

It is covered by the NFL protocol and teams are supposed to enforce and go by it. Packers were not enforcing and NFL did not step in. Packers then tried saying they told Rodgers to adhere to protocol and he ignored them. Same with the parties, at the time they could not gather, go to clubs, parties, etc if unvaccinated and that changed after the Rodgers situation. For him it looked like the Packers and NFL did not want to punish their top and top 3 draw with the Packers also trying to make amends with him. The NFL had 7 days after the party to do something and they didn’t, they only punished them after Rodgers tested positive.

The other three lied to the NFL and got fake documents. In fact I’m surprised Brown wasn’t punished heavier for the past things as he keeps doing stupid and bad things. Of course theirs is worse in that they lied to everyone while Packers and the NFL are complacent with Rodgers. The 3 should be punished but Rodgers, Packers, and whoever NFL personal that was their job, should all have been more punished as well. And I would not be surprised if more players do not have fakes as well.

Now of course Rodgers does not have to tell the media the truth, but he still has too follow the rules. He did not for months and they got a slap on the wrist. When the NFL has punished far lesser things harsher for “tarnishing the name of the league and bringing bad publicity”. Not only did he break the rules but brought a huge amount of backlash. So it’s crazy that they would suspend one star quarterback and draw for telling the commissioner to F off but the one that violated the rules gets a fine.

And he’s hell of a player, I always supported him and my family likes him and the Packers and still do though want the team to lose since Brady is in the NFC now if they’re ahead of the Bucs.

Lamb got fined more for an untucked jersey than Rog did for ignoring SC2 protocols.

Which is even crazier that those fines are set higher than Covid protocol violation fines. It was either Shannon or Ryan Clark complaining about the sock fine and they were like how do you expect me to know my socks are not pulled up when I’m trying to play and they’re in hurry up.

AB did a little more than not adhere to the protocol. He used a fake COVID card (which I believe is a federal crime).

And it turns out AB got vaccinated for real before the season started when he got to training camp. So he initially lied and did not get it but then got it for real before the season started. How the plot thickens. I don’t know if it is the same for the other two but I feel like NFL being even more silly now. So now it’s not lying and breaking protocol, he lied, got it for real, and followed protocol.

Another crazy Hawks/Niners game..............everything but the kitchen sink. Niners racking up more injuries and the injury to Mosley cost them badly as the secondary was a bonfire. At 17-7 the Niners were looking good but they then fell apart with mistakes and flags and they still had a good chance to go to extra time but Kyle and Jimmy botched it again with plenty of time and field position to score. Could be costly in the playoff run but the Vikings also lost. Washington jump ahead of the Niners in the NFC. Burrow will like the look of the Niners secondary for next week.

What....????? I didn't watch the Seahawks grind out another painful, non-offense capable loss? I'll go to the recording 'cause this may be my season highlight. That Jimmy G didn't pull it out doesn't seem inconsistent with my general opinion: he's not that innovative or good under pressure. Bill B didn't teach it to the other guy (who figured it out for himself and married a Brazilian mega-millionaire supermodel) so it's doubtful he spent much personal time with Jimmy.

A W is a W, SEA still looks rough!
-Poor O line play (pass and run)
-Too many dropped balls
---Everett should be cut...he lost two touchdowns plus another ball! 3!
-Take away Homer's 73 yard fake punt run the true ugly face of the run game show up.
-The D is really good and then really bad, and then really good and then really bad...

I hope they play for pride, and he fans because there isn't much else. I see three wins in their last five games (W- TX, Bears, lions, L- Rams, Cards).

Bill Reiter this AM: " Could we see Russ in a '9ers uni next year?" I hope not!

FYI: I'm not a Reiter fan, he's just the national cast on the local AM sports channel.

Considering how bad they’ve looked in most of their games so far, I think the Seahawks played a half decent football game. I honestly thought they would lose all of their remaining games, but maybe now they’ll take a couple more. Maybe not though. So many issues, particularly on offense. Pete still reluctant to play 21st century football…

Do some actually think Wilson will end up being a 49er next season?!? That would be something else if that happens. Maybe more shocking than Brady signing with the Giants or Colts.

I really hadn't thought about where he might go because I'm hoping that he stays. That being said, he will be pretty picky (DET, NYJ... shouldn't get their hopes up). His wife has a home in GA so maybe he just drops the SEA and goes Hawks? I also heard someone say something about the Texans, but I just don't see that either.

I really hope that SEA can do what it takes to keep him and build a winner around him.
