For me the Sky is the nicest of the black/white/light blue mob, but overall, I like the Lotto kit best. The Lotto's distinctive in it's colouring, and more imaginative in it's composition without being zany. Second HTC, third Katusha.

say what ?

I still find it awesome how different people's tastes are... thats what makes the world interesting!... to me, the lotto jersey is the ugliest of the ugly!

It would have been a lot better if they'd kept the grey out of it. That's the thing that ruins it for me.

The design is fairly uninteresting and harks back to the Lotto of the Tchmil/Nelissen days, but at least with a white background it would have retained its integrity.

You should never be able to 'see' the thinking behind the design. Unfortunately with many of these 2011 jerseys you can:
Q. What's Lotto's main reference? A. QuickStep.
Q. What worked in 2010? A. Retro like QuickStep.
Q. Which Lotto retro looked best? A. Lotto-Caloi 1994.
Therefore: progression from 2010 + Retro 1994 = Lotto 2011.

my veredict is that Sky style is being imitated now by Garmin-Cervelo and Leopard.

Sky design is simply the best, they don't have to touch it. Just brilliant.

Then the other awesome kit is HTC High Road, they are awesome.

Omega is also nice.

SKY *****
Htc HIGH ROAD *****
OMEGA PHARMA LOTTO ****
GARMIN-CERVELO **** but imitating Sky
SAXO-Bank SUNGARD ***
LEOPARD ***
MOVISTAR **

I don't see much novelty in the rest

Bejeezus.. Leopard kits a bit bland init?

I can see what they are trying to do though. Rapha'esque it ain't though I see what you are trying to say, ironically.

As I see it there are two main things wrong with it..
1) The white space front and back is too large man, and needs something set in the middle in contrast to the black shoulders (al la R in radioshack) Why not use a big O witht he underscore as in the Logo..??
2) the turquise (pale blue) is just too pale, it needs to be a brighter hue, something that needs to stand out more, if they did that the need to fill the white would be reduced.

The Madonne looks really cool though, see how they've managed to limit the white, make more of the turquise (blue).. looks really neat that..

The only way Leopard could have been more obvious that they're looking for a title sponsor is if in the big white area they had, in big, block letters, written "This space for rent."

There is no way that they'll look like that at the Tour.

They state they're financially covered for the next 4 seasons...

But I don't think they would knock back a major company who wanted to be the title sponsor though.

That is a nice looking kit. I'm guessing the star has something to do with Armstrong and his Texas roots.
It might just be a Mellow Johnny's kit. I think MJ has a lone star as its logo.

I don't doubt that they are. However if they weren't looking for a title sponsor, why not put something in the big white field like, oh, I don't know, say a leopard of some sort.

All of the other teams that are like this (Astana, Katusha, or High Road) have some kind of insignia or graphics on their jerseys. Leopard has nothing but white there. It just looks to me like they're leaving space for a future sponsor.

Don't really understand what the couple of stars are supposed to signify.

I like this Shack jersey a lot better than grey one they wore last year. Hate the shorts though. Those stars on the asscheeks remind me of a stripper's costume. Is someone paying homage to the girls down at the Yellow Rose? :D

I really like Sky, Garvelo, and the Leopard Tracks kits, although Frank's nat champ jersey is an improvement on the regular team kit.
Hate Lotto and HTC, even though this year is an improvement on the previous design.
I Like Movistar.
Don't like Riis' eagle on the Saxo kit, and don't care for the Astana redesign, which is missing its sun/eagle motif.
QuickStep kit is good, esp the Dutch champ design - it's possibly the nicest champion design in the 2011 peloton.

All of the new looks are pictured and graded in an entertaining way here:

I think Radio shack actually comes out on top.
"The NASCARification of the ProTour is
illustrated well with the Omega Pharma\ Lotto Kit.
Still, the design has overall appeal and the use of
color is spot on. This one seems to mix all the new 2011 trends
well and it comes out perhaps the best looking of the year."

Let's just say that this guy's taste is probably one hundred percent different from mine

I like how he conveniently cut the stars on the ?ss on that Radioshack outfit shot taken from back.

Yeah, he sure is different in his taste. Meaning that he hasn't one.

Not sure about the back, but the front of the RS jersey is a big improvement. Still not the best, but moving in the right direction.
