I actually kind of like it... they could've let out the red and yellow on the shoulder though.

I kinda prefer what Quick-Step did with their national champs, at least they showed some respect for their riders.

That Rojas jersey is an abomination at best, same combination of colors can be found splattered on the walls of hell.

But I guess de gustibus et coloribus...

i agree that the colour combination is indeed ugly but the shoulder thing is actually what spices up the kit and makes it almost bearable.

about the normal team kit meh its ok i guess at least it makes riders easy to spot, but last year it was better imo

on a side note i hope rui costa doesn't become national champ this year as the portuguese champ jersey can't be butchered like that, it only looks good with a classic design and i doubt movistar would do it.

So? A whole jersey in Spain's national colors doesn't look that good either, just look at Contador's TT outfit in 2009. They did their best, and even though the colors don't fit together, the concept of the jersey is nice.

The only 'good' thing about that Rojas jersey is that the flag is given more prominence compared to last year. But given the frankly horrible colour combo, that's not necessarily a good thing! I do like the shoulder bit - just adds something a little extra to it. The normal Movistar kit is ok - liked it last year, and no reason to change a good thing. It looks like the bike has had a (small) paint job though? Hopefully the back of the jersey will look good/noticeable from the helicopter.

Re Sky, I think the green looks good, particularly last season when it was otherwise virtually identical to Garmin etc. It is a good thing that they don't change it every year for the sake of changing it (like football teams do), and it does look smart and all the rest of it, but it doesn't make you go 'wow' imho.

I have to ask and in all seriousness: what is up with that particular hair style? I've seen is around for quite a while but for the life of me I just don't get it.
It really looks ridiculous as if one's finger was jammed in a light socket or startled by something horrific.

I don't understand it either. It just looks... weird.

Isn't that the "film" going down the right shoulder? They just did it in the Spanish National colors. The team jerseys are done in white correct? Or are my old eyes deceiving me?

I actually like the shoulder bit. I think the jersey is an improvement on last year's. But still terrible.

I would say either make the whole damn kit red for Spanish colours, or make it all white, and keep the shoulder thing, but outline it in black, then have the Spanish flag stripes down the middle. Ditto for Visconti's kit.

Joaquin Rodriguez Caisse d'Epargne national jersey of 2008 was the best ever IMO.
Valverde's 2009 jersey, although not easily spottable as national champ jersey, was nicely done how they merged the national colours with the design of the Caisse's kit.

At the Tour I was like "OMG where are Berto's teammates I only see one (or zero)" but then later I was like "Oh **** that guy in red and white is Nicki of course." Loads of stress for nothing...

I was more like. Where are the Saxo guys?
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Where's the last? Oh... Nicki... :p

But hopefully he'll also have the big Saxo written across his back...
