I think Trek Sagafredo did it quite well. National champion jerseys for USA and Italy is an optimal combination when you both have sponsors and national colours on display.

I think the Trek jersey looks quite well. However I think there are a bit too many teams with red jerseys now.

That's quite lazy design, though. You just have to open the jersey with MS Paint and pick the bucket tool. Do it twice and you got yourself an official and a training kit!

As long as it works, there's no need to complicate things just to complicate them

The more often I see the new Trek kit, the more I kinda like it. It's a nice classical design. Good combination of the red and black Segafredo colors. It's not their (and Sky's) fault that everyone opts for a black jersey nowadays. Good cooperate design!

It is their fault that they went with large pinstripe patches on their shorts though. Without those it would be good.

After watch the TDU, it has become very obvious there are too many black and red kits. Really hard to tell the teams apart from the helicopter this year.

That's the only problem with the body-sculpted separate side-panels. You can't take the design around as it always looks distorted and wavy. It doesn't look great with a blank panel, but probably the lesser of two evils in terms of design.

I was actually wondering if the jersey Sagan is wearing in TDU - with the mesh-ish side panels - is a special hot weather jersey. After all, if you're riding in around 40 degree celcius you might wanna wear something with lots of air-through ability.
Guess we'll find out when the - somewhat colder - spring classics roll around.
