nope - I felt cheated out of my £2. there was a lot on the latest Flandis/WSJ stuff, a big pic of you know who, then a little inset bit about Geraint doing really rather well.

a strange and unfortunate decision by team sky. i would have given him total access but not allowed him to tactical meetings at the start of the day.

barry/Kimmage

The problem would not be really about what Barry did but its about what Barry knows. He was not locked up in a closet all those years at postal.

Obviously you can guess that I think Barry is clean but the problem with access would be Kimmage asking Michael some very specific questions about what he saw at Postal. Than if the story broke during the tour, Sky's race would go to hell. The Radio shack boys would be slamming him and Sky all day long. No chance for anyone on the Sky team to get anything out of the race.

Actually thats an interesting viewpoint - but does that not beg the question why include Barry in your TdF lineup?

They included him because they needed him and he's clean BUT they likely didn't expect Kimmage to be asking him questions.

That brings up the whole reason Barry and maybe White were called out by Landis in the first place. Get them investigated because of what they actually know and not because of what they did. Under oath ask them if they doped (clean) and ask them what they know/saw.

It always strikes me as curious when I hear cyclists swear black and blue that people at the top of cycling are predominantly clean and free from cheating...
...Yet take it as a given that people in politics lie and cheat, people in the legal sport (lawyers) lie and cheat, people at the top of corporations lie and cheat, people at the top of banks and investment circles lie and cheat...
Why are cyclists supposedly free of some of humananity's duller/unfortunate traits?

... and it always strikes me as curious that we cyclists will be quite happy to cast suspicion on another country's athletes ... yet our 'own' boys are given the benefit of nationalistic fervour

I suspect this was confusion over the meaning of full access - Brailsford probably thought it meant access to everyone but with no promise over when, whereas Kimmage probably thought he would have access to everyone, everywhere, any time.

I was surprised they even agreed to it in the first place. The last thing they need is Kimmage asking tough questions of Barry and Wiggins during the TdF. After the TdF is finished, fair enough, go to town on FLandis and Lim, but for now they have more pressing issues.

actually i believe DB agreed thinking it would be excellent to have Kimmage do a garmin TdF on Sky therefore getting the Kimmage 'seal of approval' (whatever that is), but when riders and SY were told they had a problem with it so it got rescinded....

it will be interesting to hear what Kimmage says on this
