New article releases a bombshell: The Secret of Elite Athletes
it's an interesting article but it provides some hints about why pros choose to dope. it's inevitable that some people who convince themselves that winning is everything and that they must do whatever it takes, eventually turn to doping.

you watch pro sports and a lot of athletes will try any trick to get ahead - shirt pulling, fouls, scoring goals in soccer with their arm.. why should we be surprised that pro cyclists dope?

Is Generosity covered under number 22 ETC? I'm thinking of the lovely gift of $????? he gave to the UCI in his prime;)

Only sort of provoking, I'm kinda enjoying your outright unabashed Lance love in this thread:)

see 16) Savvy Businessman ie bribes and "politics"
Thanks though..

Seriously, not in 1999. Just Lance, lol.

1999 may have been the last year Lance used EPO, what with the test coming out soon after.

But anyway, 1999 was decided by mechanicals and crashes - not EPO.
Kind of like 2010....

And anyway again, Zulle was EPO'ed up to his spectacles when he was trouncing young and developing Lance in TdF's 93-96. 99 was payback time big time. How do you like them apples four-eyes.

Smoking crack again I see. Just keep telling yourself this. It's simply all you have.

They must have talked to Chris Comical after he gave them a Nissan

Although they left out the fact that Lance can 'process water and hydrate better than anyone' else too :D

Lances' awesomeness being enhanced by unlimited use of testosterone, HgH and that funny little non-compete clause he had with Dr. Ferarri...

Yes, Armstrong had what it took to be a champion, yes indeed.

The ability to not feel remorse when lying to all his cancer-stricken brethren is more like it.

But that's about to end. So you tossers who shall remain nameless (lest I get banned), keep at it.

It is your last gasp to make total and complete fools of yourselves.

Berzin's daily comic relief is refreshing - he vilifies Lance while dismissing Contador's dodgy sportsmanship, ethics, and positive dope tests.

Having every single one of your samples test positive for EPO (Armstrong 1999 "Tour of Redemption") isn't remotely in the same ballpark as a minuscule amount of clenbutarol.

Maybe you can't tell the difference, but that's not my problem.

Not all doping is equal. The 90s and 00s were full of unexpected riders popping up out of nowhere, doped to the gills and duking it out with other dopers who actually had some business being there, Riis, Nozal, half the Gewiss squad, Santi Pérez, the whole 1998 TdF Cofidis team, and yes, Armstrong.

Contador isn't in that group but he's still a doper and he was caught so there should be no discussion.

Did those words really ever come out of Comical's mouth??
