It would be interesting for me to see your reaction if he gets banned. Probably such a democratic and overly tactful in your preferences fan as you will stop following cycling at all.

how would you felt if andy got a 2 yr ban for having 0,0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 % clen in his body? :p

I wouldn't root for him any longer. As far as I know, the case is not about the concentration of clenbuterol all the more so I read it's necessary to eat many such stakes to be caught. It looks like one little tree using which Contador desperately tries to hide a huge forest.

Undoubtedly. Though I don't quite understand people who protect him with fanatism. It's kind of total support him in his lies. The rider was caught. The rider, who has more money, more doctors, more resources to cheat than anyone else, whose samples identified nothing in the same labaratory. That causes serious thoughts.

What do you think of Frank then? Is he the evil brother who has cast innocent Andy under his spell?

I prefer to believe a rider until proven otherwise. But it seems that with regards to the case Contador has nothing besides some theoretical statistical calculations, which testify in his favour only indirectly, and words to trust him. He's a dab hand with his words, as we know...
As Frank and OP, if Italians had found his bags among the other ones, he would necessarily have got 2 years ban. The Fuentes' documentation contained lots of stuff, including timetables of trainings for his clients, records about legal drags. As I think, Contador was cleared then for the same reason as Frank.

So which is it, proof or perception? Or does the former only apply to your favorite riders?

hypothetically, if Alberto was innocent what should/could he be doing that he isn't doing right now? then see valve's post.

Franks link to Fuentes is an as strong implication of doping as Contador's clenbuterol positive.

merckx index, i think you missed my main point.

the [wada] scenarios that 'fall within the realm of possibilities' were never discounted by me.

i only compared their hypothetical probability, unknown to the public but possible for sure, to the much more sensitive to real verification entity of contador inventing the entire 'meat purchased by a friend' story.

that's my opinion on the basis of what i learned to this point. certainly, any news may change my opinion.

as regards the data/conclusions when an athlete was not tested, i'm afraid cas will take their usual stance - if not available, it's both irrelevant and inadmissible.

IOW, if contador or wada lack some data but articulate its importance, it is likely to be dismissed.

for example, if wada lacks 20, 21, 22 july blood tests, i reckon, it's to contador's advantage.

by the same token, if contador lacks sufficient number of negative clenbuterol tests pre-tdf (or a negative hair test) it's to his disadvantage.

May I humbly ask how you understand all of this science???

since it would require the CAS to reverse a previous decision I do not believe that he will be sanctioned. At that low level of the banned substance there's just too many questions

What?! That's insane!

And I am not saying this because I am an fan of Frank Schleck. I think his "case" was handled terribly by the luxemburg authorities and it was pretty clear that they did not wanted to find anything. However, a positive test is a positive test and you can't hide from that. Add to that the fact that AC already has got a free pass, a lá Fränk Schleck, in the OP "investigation". The pile of evidence against AC is stacking up.

I do read a lot of your post Hitch and you are very defensiv about AC and saying that a simple link between a rider and a doping doctor is as bad as a psoitive test is very fanboyish.

Can't see anything but a 2 year ban.

Slightly off topic but I was so surprised how easy it is to buy epo online. Some site was selling epo boost claiming it guarantees a boost in performance but it's definitely not on the banned list lol. No wonder there are drug problems in sport

Read the advert again very carefully.

It is a perfect example of how to spin language and results to make it look like it's something it isn't. It's very clever advertising and total BS.

There is a phrase in there that at first appears to say there is a 20% improvement over the placebo (i think it's 20%) but if you reread it carefully it actually says that the improvement is 20% more than the in improvement with the placebo. ie the placebo group had f-all improvement and this gives you 20% more than f-all improvement: which is still f-all.
