My immediate thoughts were:

1. ghost writers FTW
2. fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again.

I see CN got out the knee pads and took Armstrong in their mouth again. Anything to help sell some wheels I guess.

Didn't read it.

No one does vivid imagery around here like Chewie. You're the Bard of CN Forums!

You're probably right, because it does digress into a 'level-playing-field' deconstruction malarkey of their respective careers - But Hein Vebruggen didn't step in save Marco on Madonna Di Campiglio; Marco didn't get Zorzoli to put the fear of Zeus into his Giro rivals. Of course, Lance conveniently neglects these items of corruption, the kind of special advantage that he enjoyed.

Yet I am interested: does Lance actually feel this deeply or is it all calculated for show? Did he even write it?

Hincapie comes across as a spineless turd.

Nothing new on Armstrong, sociopathic tendencies confirmed.

I fully agree with these assessments! The more Armstrong talked, the more he looked like a sociopath, kind of makes you feel uneasy. Like there's something wrong in his head

CN needs to get it over with, and just have a "Lets see what Lance Armstrong thinks about this" column on their front page. I bet they could raise the rates for the ads in that section, and Lance could use a regular PR outlet rather than this piecemeal sh!t he's getting now from them. Just pay the guy and put him on staff.

In advance, you're welcome CN for the idea, but I don't want any money. I have integrity.

That's actually a very good idea - give the guy enough rope and he will hang himself.

Especially now he no longer has Herman, Stapleton, Knaggs & Co moderating his output. Is Lance bowling alone these days or is there some kind of lawyer/PR help giving the guy some direction?

There is nothing Armstrong is saying here that is not true. He is just using Pantani's experience as a proxy for his own.

CyclingNews Exclusive: Lance Armstrong critiques the Alex Gibneys latest movie The Armstrong Lie.

Alex Gibneys erroneous titled 'The Armstrong Lie' is a fascinating documentary in to how a young innocent American boy got tempted by the glitz and glamour of drug fueled Europe and accurately suggests that we as a society are to blame.

Make no mistake - at times Armstrongs dark side is exposed, his use of profanity is captured as well as at times looking somewhat scruffy.
But Gibneys art is that captures a man that is under considerable pressure who has the weight of 800 million cancer survivors on his shoulders as well as the day to day responsibilities of being a loving caring father, that not merely suggests but demands that Armstrong be forgiven for

While Gibney is a serious and respected film maker he does include humor too with the wailing of Betsy Andreu while her co-conspirator ringleading husband Frankie in his stripped shirt against a dark backround looks like a man in witness protection and seems uncomfortable to mention his own dark past that spanned many many years.

To balance out the outrageous claims by the Andreus, Gibney introduces the star of the show in a true American hero in George Hincapie, who just like Armstrong went over to nasty Europe and in an effort to fit in used some doping products for a limited period of time and definitely not during my, I mean Armstrongs comeback.

It is the conclusion where Gibney scores big and leaves the audience with a sense of hope.
Armstrongs minor transgressions should not only be forgotten, but forgiven.
In particular by our Federal Government in their ongoing litigation should be not wasting hard earned tax payers dollars on a person who like everyone else is somewhat flawed.

That's good, Dr Mas.

But when I hear 'Glitz and glamour', I know there's a big gay element there.

Maybe the Armstrong Lie should be called, 'Behind the Cancellara.'

The guy's a brute, I tell you.

Speaking of erstwhile bromances, Matthew McConaughy has gotten awfully skinny since 'the confession.'

Lance's new career: hooking up celebs with AICAR to thin down for roles.

Thought it was quite well written tbh and didnt seem like too much of Lance self glorification.

LOL, I wouldn't be surprised if Wonderboy actually tried using this number and/or BS in some future interview. By then though, it'd be closer to 900 million, and that he's been tested 765 times.

I don't know that he is capable. His calling Steve Tilford because "they needed to talk" was just another clue it is STILL the world that misunderstands the situation.

LOL, yep. He's still holding onto: "I didn't dope. Besides, everyone else was doing it too, it was a level playing field. I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles".

From what I can gather, they distanced themselves from him. RR seems to know more...as always.

These guys can sniff a change in the wind. For all his talents, Lance seems bereft of this.

Was it Herman they called "The Master of disaster" or was that some other Armstrong ****** bag? Herman should've "distanced himself" from Cancer Jesus the second he got on D'Oprah and "confessed".

The 'Master of Disaster' is hired liar Mark Fabiani, a Washington lobbyist who makes a living off damage control. He helped Lance beat the original Fed investigation. His job is done. Herman sounds like Foghorn Leghorn and is about as likeable as an acute case of crabs. He was Lance's lawyer and principal mouthpiece for ages, but it seems they no longer work together. I've heard Lance was counselled by some of these guys not to do Oprah, and have since parted ways. Some others here know more on all that.

Nobody is saying there is anything that's a lie. I didn't read it, so I will have to take the word of others. This is about the fact that there is an ulterior motive for his writing his heartfelt thoughts on the death of Marco Pantani...

I've always said that I knew there was something wrong with the guy as soon as I watched him point to the heavens (something he doesn't believe in) when Casartelli died. It was all a show that wasn't meant to focus everyone on Casartelli, it was a show of how good Lance is. This is no different. Lance wants a spotlight to show how he isn't such a bad buy, he deserves to be rehabilitated in the eyes of the public... I'm honestly perplexed at your lack of skepticism, but I still respect you as a long time poster, so we will just have to continue to disagree about it.

Delicious again Peter...(sorry for the antiquated Beastie Boys reference)

Brilliant!
