It's amazing it really is.

For some the villains of this piece aren't the ones who cheated, broke the rules and lied for years but instead it's a person who spoke out against the cheating and lies.

I do, yes. People can remember things in different ways. The older more mature rider might not think much of a younger rider seeing something in your fridge has any effect on them. He probably can't even remember it.

Can someone take a screen shot of bcp's answer please. Great to know you think we should trust what George says now. Actually, that's awesome;)

Didn't you hear? Perjury is OK if it is to protect a myth

The world is a little bit more complex than that. Little soundbites and keywords don't work anymore in this post fall era.

It's all about honesty now, dude. Get with the program.

So I'm waiting for the comeback....."so if you trust this then you must trust that....?"

I presume that's coming?

Anyway, good luck in your campaign to get one of the best cancer doctors in the world labelled as corrupt. You show em all that Betsy was in the right. You're a great person.

Lance! Nice to see you posting again buddy. It's over. It's not the rest of the world with the problem, it's you. Lemond is the greatest modern American bicyclist, not you.

Your time is best spent being a father to those kids and stop fighting the tide.

I am not a cancer Doctor.

Oh you meant Dr. Nichols - well you were the one to suggest he is corrupt:

Eh? Betsy has been quite open about the fact she thinks Lance won't admit to the incident for legal reasons (i.e have to give millions of dollars to an insurance company) and because he is protecting people like the doctors and others in the room. She can't for the life of her work out why someone might view that as more important. If you think that's a stain on her character, take that up with her.

"...USADA deliberately left out the opinion of the other riders to make Armstrong look more culpable. Swart's affidavit does not even state the opinion he expressed during the conversation. Neither does Hincapie's. Armstrong was not the team's regent, and the other riders were not his peons. He was a regular rider on the team. No one started using EPO because Armstrong told him to. Riders began using EPO because the only other choice was to go home.

It is impossible to accept that Armstrong "was not the team's regent" having regard to the plethora of evidence that not only was LA the team leader, but his personality was such that it was clear to the other riders that LA was in effect the Dictator. He dictated, commanded, directed, enjoined and imposed his will , on all the others, that the team dope . He did this through force of personality a position of power and the threat of banishment from the team.

He did this for one reason only. He was obsessed with being famous and making money and he immorally rationalized it on the basis everyone else was doing it. Team-mates were using PEDs because he told them to either directly or impliedly, or go find other work. No one had the cojones to stand up to him and Hincapie and the others were subservient peons to LA's dictates.

There is NO other way to read this story. Trying to soft soap it is disingenuous.

I'm not much interested in Betsy. She didn't do anything wrong. I do find it hard to distinguish Frankie from the other domestiques.

I don't. He was paid to do a job, he reported what he saw, yet people are trashing him, and for what? I'm not sure really. He got tired of Wonderboy dumping on him, and trying to mess with his livelyhood. He's in no way the main doper/king pin/bad guy, George and Wonderboy keep yammering on about. He was just a small cog in the large engine that was Wonderboy. Because he chose to sing like a canary is what really gets George's goat I think. George continues coming off as a huge ****** bag, who's obviously still **** hurt over something. It's a shame George isn't smart enough to realize he's STILL being played by Wonderboy, everyone else sees it, but him. I have even less respect for GH, then I had before, and that wasn't much then.

Hell, I'll bite: can you explain why you care at this point: posterity; lawsuits; "ethics", etc.?

At which point would you not really be a part of this , but choose be so? Now? As a historical actor?

We can write the epitaph for this place. It has become inane. Worse, it has become dull. After a lurching, year long deterioration, the death rattle came when RR misrepresented what Hincapie said and lied about it not matching his affidavit. Nearly everyone still left here then nodded in unison while queuing up to express outrage over what Hincapie had not said. It took pages to establish that Hincapie's statements were consistent with his affidavit and other known facts, but that has not stopped RR from continuing to twist Hincapie's words, treating any challenge to his spin as a heresy. His acolytes, the twelve apostles of The Clinic, remaining duty is to protect the group's orthodoxy.

This is worse than the drivel from Skytards. At least they can be excused for being morons.

Was wondering when someone would figure that out. :D

Anyway, it seems to me the doctor should be left out of this. The only reason he's "inside" the cycling circle at all is because he saved the life of a cyclist. Did he later lie about what he'd been told? Perhaps. But if so it was a mistake and one he made for his own reasons. He has doubtlessly done far more good than bad. I think he should be left alone. Armstrong's continuing fall is not contingent on the doctor going down too.

NOW I think we're seeing some of the real reasons that the 'new posters' have been sent out in force..
last ditch attempts at smearing the real respectable folks that are actually telling the truth..like Betsy- who seems to be the main focus for the new recruits..

that cancer doc that Lance had some control over must be twitching somewhere..

I chimed in here merely to have a bit of fun. note I haven't posted here in a couple years or more.
I'll tell those involved in lawsuits that I choose not to be involved when I'm summoned unless it can be proved for posterity, ethics, and as a historical actor.

If your latest round of revisionist nonsense is not getting a good reception perhaps it is the message not the audience?

Might have to use this as my new signature
