Somebody doesn't agree with the group think mentality lets get them silenced. Nice way to defend your position, if they can't post they can't disagree.

I'll tell those involved in lawsuits that I choose not to be involved when I'm summoned unless it can be proved for posterity, ethics, and as a historical actor.

Don't be a stranger.

You are quite the **** stirrer.:)

We can write the epitaph for this place. It has become inane. Worse, it has become dull. After a lurching, year long deterioration, the death rattle came when RR misrepresented what Hincapie said and lied about it not matching his affidavit. Nearly everyone still left here then nodded in unison while queuing up to express outrage over what Hincapie had not said. It took pages to establish that Hincapie's statements were consistent with his affidavit and other known facts, but that has not stopped RR from continuing to twist Hincapie's words, treating any challenge to his spin as a heresy. His acolytes, the twelve apostles of The Clinic, remaining duty is to protect the group's orthodoxy.

This is worse than the drivel from Skytards. At least they can be excused for being morons.

You talk way too much for a bottle carrier. Back to the car, Lance is thirsty.

BPC? It's not disagreement, it's pathology.

What have you a problem with? Say it and defend it if you have any courage.

gentel(wo)men,
this kind of personalised attack, that is certainly not contributing to the discussion, has got to stop.

Last warning. Play the ball not the man.

There is a reason for that.
Because things that RR claims usually come true and/or when he was posting here years ago he was well read and most of the things they stated were facts.

He is not pushing anything except what usually is true.

I realize that upsets others who want to stake a claim to 'insider' knowledge or do not want their opinions challenged or exposed.

Okay, my last post was flagged for being snarky. Fair enough.

So let me address the ball rather than the man: So what you're trying to say is that the forum is dying because everyone doesn't think that Lance deserves sympathy because he wasn't any different than anyone else...

Okay, I take it back, I don't have any idea of how to deal with that. Carry on I guess...or not...whichever.

EDIT: insult redacted by bison

Who knew you would be so easily offended?

You have no problem with a poster smearing a member of this forum (Betsy) painting her as a seething, greedy, drive by jealously, btich, out to ruin people's careers. She is controlled by her alien overlords, The Lemonds.

Despite zero supporting evidence you accept this freshly invented narrative. While this acceptance may bring a smile to Lance's face don't expect others to be so swallow his nonsense so easily

You forgot fat.

Never forget the fat...

This is part of why I find following this sordid tale so amusing.

People come out, much like 'dumb as a stump' GH, and just start firing off what amounts to total randomness, albeit with self serving ends in mind.

"Frankie doped!", yeah we know.

"Frankie knew where to get dope!". FFS! Anyone in any country anywhere knew where to get the goods. Open secret. Even hillbilly Canadians living on some wind-blasted island off the west coast of Moosistan knew who to talk to.

To get back on topic: If anyone actually believes that it just happened to be a random occurrence that Stumpy George finally broke his media silence to rock the world with a sh*t-talking-filled expose that knocked the current church bingo results to the back page in the local east-bumble news of the day, well you're dumber than anyone gave you credit for.

Of course this was PR shilling.

Mind you, it doesn't make me like Bro's posts any less.

I just like his writing that much...

Sweet F*cking Jesus!

It's come to this?

You may be yelling about the American's and their unabashed hatred for Lance - which has, honestly, reached a near-religious fervor (liked the 'orthodoxy' in your post), but you must understand that the most disillusioned will always be the most virulently vociferous in their new-found pristine holiness. And we all know how Americans love their heroes...

And you're right.

This place has become an unending circle of lame.

Lance is bad? Of course.

Sky is sketchy? Of course.

And yet everyone is getting their sh*t in a knot based on some seriously pathetic niceties of pedantry.

I have no point, really. Just making sure I wasn't tarred with that brush...

OK I'll play the man with the ball (as bro has taken over everywhere he goes at the moment). He has always been a snarky manipulative little Massengil product who is entertaining when he is on your side and a massive PITA when he is not (and running on and on). Can't really argue with his point of view as it is plastic and changes with the weather (and never totally clear) so what's left to "play"?

Oh, I know.

A bit, obviously, wide of the mark.

But, after a year of Skybots going full ***, it's nice to have another avenue of contrarianism to read.

And the Bro is right.

This place has gone the f*ck downhill...

This aspect was discussed at some length in the heady days of the USADA charge letter - Lance part deux?.

It was proposed at the time that although it was only an initial groundswell he would eventually be swamped by a veritable tsunami of vitriol as the vast majority realised their trust was shattered, they had been duped.

And all Lances shenanigans, drawing it out, Judge Sparks, dumping on USADA, even Oprahs couch, only made the tsunami worse as it had time to gather pace.

He would have been better to keep it low profile as possible, co-operate with USADA, take the hit, get it over with done and dusted. After all, the vast duped majority can no doubt no longer remember the names of any other players

Whatever "narrative" ______ Radio is "pushing" is by far the most likely to be the right one, especially when compared to what some of the resident loons are pushing.

Not sure I agree. There's still plenty of clever wit and insightful comment. It's the best soap about a soap there is.

That was some serious entertainment! :D

I can't seem to remember that last time The Clinic offered so much late night laughter. It use to occur more frequently, I'll grant you that. But tonight's episode is making up for quite a bit.

I'd say things are looking up. :D

Which means that BroDeal's ploy worked!

Yeah, you're right...

I just don't like having to dig through 40 pages of people arguing about what the definition of "is" is. No offense to DrM, well maybe a little...

But a little offense to the Nationalists, and the Haters, and the Blind Believers, and the Blindly Cynical, and everyone else who can't read my mind and understand implicitly what I mean when I find two minutes to pound some idiotic opinion out on the keyboard about a sport that is so sordid, and yet so beautiful and still so close to my heart.

Yeah, it's not so bad.

Hey, it was enough to get me out of my lurking shell!

At least his posts aren't filled with obtuse references involving football and cricket players from the 60s that somehow have bearing on whatever the h*ll is going on in cycling, and can at the same time completely ignore the last half century of professional racing.

Yeah, I'm talking about you, Poms...

Well, then you will forgive me for taking a (little) offense at it - quite simply I have a pretty good BS detector - and I have no intention of changing it.
If you have an issue it is with those who attempt to post BS and wont admit it when caught.

As for Bro - I am still confident it is merely boredom. There was some classic stuff earlier and one should always remember he posted this gem;
