I don't think this is the case. If anything Lance has been trying to get the Feds to draw Weisel into the case, currently he is not. This means that when Lance loses he will have to sue Thom to get some money from him.

We could be talking about this for years folks......years

I'm guessing tactics, now. Nothing solid to go on. He's been working the angle of "just being part of the team" and the preceding case could be his shake down opportunity to soft sell TW's influence for a payout on the bigger case. Didn't say it would work but he doesn't have many angles to play when it comes purely to cycling.
Now if he wants to talk about shakey IPOs Weisel assured would be winners based on inside information; that could be more costly. Also dangerous.

Just having a quick glance through the free preview of Juliet Macur's new book and there's one interesting point, she mentions a source with direct knowledge of Lance bribing another rider near the end of San Sebastian to help him win it in 1995.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I can't remember this being said before.

Juliet's book is supposed to have some surprises in it. I kinda thought everything has been said but she is very confident her book will be interesting, different, and have some compelling stories about many of the personal elements of the Armstrong story.

And me!
Would be great to see those guys win in the end. I love a good protracted battle between, especially when the more intelligent win, rather than the chest thumpers.

'Chest thumpers' is generous, 'knuckle draggers' would be more accurate :D

Synonymous, I think--though we might try being fairer to our simian cousins, who often show better manners.

those wristbands excess stock are now sold to sex shops, especially the gay ones, for use as c0ck rings. you need to double them over, and twist tie them in the figure 8.

Pretty sure this is new... nothing in my database on this one.

Not defending Armstrong. But riders offering riders $$$$ for wins is hardly a surprise. Didn't Bettini supposedly offer Igor Astarloa $$$$ during the 2003 road race? There are probably stories of this happening pre-armstrong.

True.

And, unlike the Thrift triple crown does not necessarily foreshadow SCA as an insurance fraud.

Still, this does help explain an outlier palmare.

Dave.
