The order says that Lance has to pay the costs of the appeal. It doesn't say that Lance has to pay SCA's legal fees. Is there another order directing Lance to pay SCA's legal fees?

And MarkvW swoops in to try to get a minor legal point win. I guess as badly as you failed on your legal analysis of this case so far, you have to try to pick up any crumbs you can find...

Oh BTW, you asked me in a post several months ago if I "...even pass[ed] the bar?" Well, the answer is yes, yes I did pass the bar.

Um.....what it actually says is

Do you really think that is just the cost of uploading the filing?......it isn't.

What are SCA's costs of the appeal? Legal fees. Filing fees. Maybe not gas for the private jet but Lance gotta pay.

Keep delaying lance. Delays are free for SCA

"Do you really think . . .." You never stop.

Oh BTW, you very snidely asked me in a post several months ago if I "...even pass[ed] the bar?" Well mother****er, the answer is yes, yes I did pass the bar.

Chewie I am glad you passed the bar. But from a former lawyer with 35 years of daily trial experience who does not want young lawyers to make the same mistakes other lawyers have made remember this Code of Conduct rule,

"A lawyer's conduct toward other lawyers should be characterized by courtesy and good faith"

Good luck in your career.

Qualifying as a lawyer, and acting like a lawyer are clearly two different things.

Just sayin....;)

You're right, MarkvW comes on here and tries to act like a lawyer all the time...and he fails miserably.

Look, I freely admit I'm caustic, but you've posted your share of discourteous posts (some directly to me), so pot-kettle. I'm not trying to get overly worked up about it, because I also appreciate the legal information you provide here, but I'd suggest that speaking down to "young lawyers" like me about conduct you yourself have engaged in is not overly effective.

Just sayin (as andy1234 would say)...

“I don’t feel like this weight off my shoulders, I would have been fine to never say anything,” he said.

Um... That's because you're not normal, Lancie-poo. You're a sociopath. You have no empathy and the only true emotion you feel is rage.

As Mark has told us many times he is not a lawyer so Chewy can treat him however he likes

Back on topic. Do you think lawyers like Tim Herman laugh/cry when they have to submit nonsense they know lose? Are they just counting the billable hours?

I totally agree. This shows that he has absolutely no remorse for his dishonesty and the pain (emotional, financial, etc.) he caused so many people. He truly is a sociopath.

Your right and I apologize for any discourtesy you may have taken away from my posts. But I was not trying to talk down to you. You are young and full of mustard as was I at your age, I was just trying to be helpful. I am sorry you took it the wrong way. Just saying .... Sometimes I just cant get the trial lawyer feistiness out of me.

Let me be clear, I agree. I am too discourteous many times, and definitely need to reign it in. And let me stress again that I truly appreciate the legal narrative you bring to this forum. You are always very helpful in your insight, and present things in a way that everyone can understand.

The sadder thing is that I'm not THAT young...I'm 45 (always wanted to be an attorney, and just needed an incredibly wonderful wife to inspire me to take the risk and follow my dream...sounds corny, but it's the truth), and I still act like a 12 year old sometimes...I am a bit too feisty many times. I'll try to remember to take your advice.

Let me also apologize for any incivility I've shown you.

That's a great story and compared to me that is younger. Thanks and good luck.

It almost seems unethical for them to continue to pursue a legal strategy they have to know is a loser...I know the client makes those types of decisions ultimately, and I would hope that his attorneys are vociferously cautioning him about his choices, but I get the sense that they play along, put the checks in the bank, and tell him he's doing the right things. I guess maybe they see trying to protect his assets as much as possible to be more ethical than stopping their client from gumming up the legal system with baseless, and easily defeated arguments.

He's on a losing streak, and that ain't gonna change anytime soon.

Working with/for people like LA requires very strong pragmatism and hypocrisy. Tim is counting right now, happy.

I think their bottom line strategy is to keep him away from taking an oath.
