Armstrong has tried everything to circumvent the process that was laid out for him way before he was officially sanctioned.

He hates Travis Tygart and did everything in his power to defang the USADA.

He'll never go to them to have his sanction reduced. This is what happens when you suffer the type of narcissistic personality disorder that was given opportunity to increase unchecked over so many years.

After the downfall, he still believes he's in control of his own narrative. That has been taken from him along with all of his seven tour wins despite his denials.

He is left with taking highly inappropriate, creepy and downright obscene photos partying with underage teenage girls. If that isn't as pathetic as it gets, only time will tell if he will sink any lower.

And despite what anyone thinks, he can always sink lower. For him there is no bottom.

Lance is the evillest and worstest person that ever walked the face of the Earth. No matter how evil any other person is, Lance can be more evil. If you can conceive of the most evil thing, Lance will be more evil. Anything else is just LIES, and you should be banned for it. Lance is the Chuck Norris of Evil.

I disagree.

Drinking Night Train with a bunch of high schoolers is pretty low.

Drinking Night Train with a bunch of high schoolers without your shirt on has to be rock bottom.

And what about obsessing over Lances personal life on an internet forum?

When you don't have an argument, degenerate to name-calling.

I don't disagree that Lance did almost all of the bad things that your Choirmaster says he did, but I part company when you want to demonize Lance to the point of unreason. Your Choirmaster wants you to believe that Lance was an aberration, and that pro cycling is better now that he's gone. Pro cycling isn't any better. It's just as filthy and it's eagerly awaiting the next Lance-magnitude cheater to come along.

Remember even after Pat and Hein's quoted reluctance to let the sanction stand Hein and Pat were still defending the guy. That tells me Wonderboy's got his hooks in deep at the UCI.

Politics outside the UCI, thanks to a beautiful retelling in the Reasoned Decision likely let the sanction stand.

IMO, the whole reason for the CIRC is to set the stage for the UCI to artfully reinterpret a few moribund rules out of the rulebook to reduce Wonderboy's ban. Vrijman Report 2.0.

I think you and others said it earlier: McQuaid backed down because he didn't want to jeopardize the Olympic cash cow. Still, I don't understand why McQuaid came out in support of Lance, then quickly reversed himself. The only explanation I can come up with is that McQuaid's a moron.

I'm a little confused?
"We" got told to drop shirtless-HS-party-gate, but now its back on the table?

Whatever relevance the topic had gets way overshadowed by the personal attacks (Lance creeper! Fanboi!)

I am not a mind reader, and don't pretend to know if Armstrong thinks he is still in control of his fate. From his actions - selling his house, selling his jet, starting LAF II, his angry quotes in Mancor's book - I suspect some amount of reality has set it.

Only one way to read it: The law Berzin lays down does not apply to him.

This sounds like the taunting tactic of a small child.
There will always be those of us here that can't stomach Wonderboy and his act..and always those (you included) that think he's kool.

There do not always have to be comments on the comments for the sake of stirring ****....really?

See a pattern here?
You are trying to be subtle with your stirring game but it's faulty.

Stop it.

The second coming of a "Lance" is not going to ever happen.

The pattern is that the Choir constantly and rigorously tries to enforce uniformity of thought in this thread.

And you are wrong. Right now, we're in a lag caused by the biopassport. That lag allows cleanish riders to challenge the sophisticated and semi-sophisticated dopers. That lag is never going to last. Gene therapies are going to turn cycling into a biological freak show that makes what has come before look like a positively normal "even playing field." We'll see a "unique genetic specimen" rise to triumph, just like Lance...

Huh? It was SittingBison who gave the cease and desist, not Berzin. I see this more as miscommunication among Mods and not as some big hypocrisy or something.

Time for Godwin's Law?

is that a subtle hint at Froome?

Going back a small stretch, I think you made comment to the effect that LA was the only one with the nerve to try and bribe Hein? I'm not sure that he was, but I reckon he may have been the only one who could match the asking price...

Who's name calling?

I must admit... I feel a little foolish but I've no idea who the choirmaster is.

Lance in or out of pro cycling matters little. I enjoy the sport for what it is. I watch it in person whenever possible. Watching those doped up badasses roll at 30 mph over the Carrefour de l'Abre is a spectacle, no doubt.

But Mark, why do you watch pro cycling? It obviously disgusts you so why bother?

Lance's fans will always be Lance's fans. It's probably not his fault.

Just because you're paranoid, Mark, doesn't mean everyone's not out to get you.

As for the second paragraph, it's some of your better trolling. Too bad it's still second rate.

It WAS moi, not Berzin, who asked for the shirtless wonder discussion to cease.

Lets put that genie back in the bottle again please gentle(wo)men

And while we're at it, lets also try to keep a lid on the personal attacks. I know its hard, and Lance is divisive, but you can do it

cheers
