Boy... that escalated quickly. I mean...that really got out of hand fast!

Back to where he started. Bets on whether he's doping?

You may remember him getting beat in some kind of off-road triathlon thing and then in regular triathlons before suddenly winning. It depends on the level of depravity we're talking about. Is this the first step to some larger scam? Or, is this Wonderboy unable to do anything else.

Either way, we know for sure he hasn't changed a single bit. Dig into your suitcase of courage Wonderboy! Take a swim stroke in anger!

I found that comment from presumably a neighbor very interesting too. I wonder what the story is/was there. The point being, he can't help but poison everything. Let's hope it's something he hasn't passed on.

Lance Armstrong has withdrawn from the Masters South Central Zone Swimming Championships in Texas this weekend after an objection from swimming's international governing body.

The International Swimming Federation (Fina) asked US Masters Swimming not to accept the disgraced cyclist's entry.

Fina state that the event is subject to the lifetime ban given to Armstrong by the US Anti-Doping Agency.

=========================

Good riddance from the meet.

Your only path to do anything vaguely sporting is a full confession under oath to USADA (or WADA) and name a whole host of names.

I still think we are a long way away from that day but stuff like this can only make it more likely to happen sooner.

FINA's statement

Lausanne (SUI), April 4, 2013 – Following reports on the media referring the participation of Mr. Lance Armstrong in the Masters South Central Zone Swimming Championships in Texas (USA), FINA would like to clarify that:

1. This national competition is under the jurisdiction of the US Masters Swimming;

2. FINA Rule DC 15.1 states:

“Subject to the right to appeal provided in DC 13, the Testing, therapeutic use exemptions and hearing results or other final adjudications of any Signatory to the Code which are consistent with the Code and are within the Signatory’s authority, shall be recognised and respected by FINA and its Member Federations.(...)”

Therefore, FINA wrote a letter to the US Masters Swimming (with copy to US Aquatic Sports and USA Swimming) requesting not to accept the entry of Mr. Lance Armstrong in the above mentioned competition.

C'mon Wonderboy! Dig into your suitcase of courage!!!:D

It's interesting that the promoter claimed it was not FINA/USA Swimming sanctioned and yet the International body gives the attempted entry the smack-down.

This is the thinnest excuse for the "In my darkest hour..." story that can be used to force his way into the "found God" scammers group. Wonderboy will figure out how to "win" at all costs there too.

I think it should be obvious what I'm describing is not an ordinary sense of religion or personal beliefs. If not, there's no disrespect meant to ordinary people who have religious beliefs.

lance is focusing on getting a few organizers who might be friends or fans to let him compete. It may seem like a good idea at the time but in the end it fails and he ends up looking silly

Yes, Lance should be concerned about his limited options but as a guy who makes his living in the public eye he should be more concerned that the comments section of his hometown newspaper, and the BBC, are overwhelmingly negative. Can't image what the response would be if he actually showed up for a race.

Ironically there is a saying in Austin..." There are 2 kinds of people in Austin: people that dislike Lance Armstrong, and people that have not met him yet" Starting to leach out I would say...

Lance is a broken record. This latest action underscores Lance's behavioral model remains consistent.

LANCE: I AM A CHEATER!

Lifetime ban, what lifetime ban?

Dave.

He is so out of touch.
Clueless...

The isolation is generally will what makes you crack. He's only a few months into his ban... he won't last.

It's actually not pretty to watch.

Such a stupid sport to be honest.

"He doesn't want to cause any more harm to any more organizations," Butcher told The Associated Press. "His interest was around fitness and training. In light of FINA and the other political stuff, he will not be swimming."

The swim meet had a whole "Puppet Show and Spinal Tap" feel to it.

What's next? USADA objects to Lance playing right field and hitting cleanup in the Austin Men's Over 40 slowpitch softball league?

The punishment wasn't the goal. The punishment then isn't really punishment, its a tactic designed to move closer to the real goal....the goal is to make him....confess? Kill himself?

What part of lifetime ban do you need explained?

Either you didn't get my point because you didn't see the quote I was responding to....meaning, who cares if he "cracks" or not, unless the punishment is a means to an end and not the end itself....

Or, you are following all of this, and your use of the word "lifetime" suggests you are looking forward to the day Lance is found swinging from a beam in his garage?

I never know what other people are thinking. If I was a mind reader, I guess I wouldnt ever have to ask questions.
