Are you kidding me, Sir? :) this is an absolute Smorgasbord of Schadenfreud. And I find it delicious.

These sad, self-deluded people carried his water despite overwhelming evidence of the fraud they tried to convince us idn't exist. Now they are left to these irrational shoulda coulda woulda's and mindless spin to try to somehow...well, what? ... trying to reassure themselves that Lance is a victim. Or something?

Whatever. Their 'Twaddle' (is that the word of the day on ths thread?) amounts to a tremendous merde sandwich that they can never get enough of. And, gosh darn it, I am enjoying the show.

If anything I wish they posted MORE. A LOT more.

You are right. There is an interesting form of pleasure derived from knowing a certain poster is barely holding it together crafting a 300 word post that somehow argues, against all evidence and odds, that the victims of Armstrong's crimes are somehow deserving of what they got.

That gift will keep on giving for a while. Remember LauaLyn and Gree0232? Awesomeness to the infinity!

I think I get it, you don't like Betsy Andreau. I also figure that nothing will change your mind so I'm not going to bother making clever arguments.

We get it, you think Betsy is the reincarnation of Joan of Arc. Yes, she told the truth as she sees it but she also had that opportunity long before she was asked to do so. And she knew that her husband was doing the same thing and did nothing about it.

Don't misunderstand me, I think she got a raw deal but she isn't a saint either.

Why anyone responds to the twaddle at this point is beyond me.

She's infatuated with him, poor Frankie still having to put up with that, sad really.

Think about it, when is the last time she talked about Frankie or seen supporting him in some way minus Lance?

I think she 'mothered' him in the beginning. That is more the attachment than an infatuation, I think.

"The foundation said it reduced its budget nearly 11 percent in 2013 to $38.4 million, but said Tuesday that revenue is already 2.5 percent ahead of projections.

It's easy to exceed projections, when you're anticipating getting ******-all...

Can I translate these discussions for any al qaeda prisoners who are being forced to read this thread now that we can't waterboard them anymore and are wondering what this woman has to do with cost of hash in bora bora? ....and don't even try to speculate which they hated more...

'That b#tch ruined everything for us lance-worshippers. We wanted to believe in miracles, not an aging shell of a man who makes the wizard of oz look respectable.'

This just merges back into the bigger point; she knew things all along that would have blown the lid off of the LA myth and his enrichment based upon a lie, Livestrong, beating Superman's 3 TdF record, sitting while Superman got "forced" into signing a retraction and the Trek debacle, etc.

I was thinking just the other day that we were long overdue for a random ad hominem against LeMond.

Even better in a thread about an email exchange between Betsy and Lance, where LeMond isn't even remotely or tangentially relevant.

I am blown away that McQuaid is campaigning for his re-election and it seems like he is the front runner. I am even more blown away that he is campaigning by smearing Armstrong who is just a symbol of the era McQuaid seemed to grease the wheels for or at the very least turned a blind eye towards. Talk about sneaky politics.

It seems so obvious to me with the constant talk of the the new era of cycling that we start with new leadership and specifically eject the leadership that was present during such dark times. I don't believe it is truly "cycling" who is entertaining McQuaid for re-election, but rather the old guard of money who likes to control and retain control of the sport. Control is all they care about.

Swiss Cycling’s nomination of Pat McQuaid for re-election as UCI president may go under the microscope in the coming days, with a meeting of the board likely to be held early next week.

Although the federation announced on May 16th that the board had unanimously decided to back McQuaid, VeloNation understands that this may not actually be the case.

I feel sorry for Betsy because she is seeking closure from someone who can't give it to her. She keeps expecting him to act like a human being. But he's a sociopath.

Lemond had it right again when he refused to take armstrong's phone call before Oprah. In a French interview on YouTube lemond even calls Armstrong a sociopath. He realizes that you are not dealing with a normal sentient human being capable of real empathy. Taking the phone call only serves the sociopath. Likewise Betsy needs to cut the chord.

Nominated for dumbest post of the day. Remember, it's an honor just to be nominated.

It is rather pathetic watching Armstrong and McQuaid dance around each other, each proclaming that the truth is the way to go.

Two pathological liars calling for the truth. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

I find it funny that he turned down a 6 month suspension in the off season and now wants amnesty to get everyone to tell the truth.

How can anyone believe that you are going to get the truth through amnesty when you couldn't get it with a slap on the wrist?

It would be funny if there wasn't something much more sinister at play here.

What exactly they are playing at? getting Armstrong off his lifetime ban due to a T&R scenario is the likely case.

This. Personally I don't believe that a T&R process would do the slightest bit of good, and in fact would more likely be manipulated by the worst offenders to get off the hook for past and current disgresions. In other words, little or no "truth" and lots of "reconciliation" (or amnesty).

What's so sinister about wanting to save cycling, he just wants to give back. Maybe hero is the right term.

Lance isn't interested in T&R. If he wanted to do some good he would have co-operated last year, but in his sick mind, he found it too emasculating.

Lance wants a new forum to sling some muck and attempt to drag people down to his level. Notice he talks about 'dopers from other eras' getting away with it. Doubt he means good pal Eddy; he wants to stir some more rubbish about Lemond.
