Agree - and it goes to my earlier opinions, the cycling community might show some understanding to his plight, but the general public will not forgive LA regardless of what he does.

Many in the general public not only believed the myth, they literally invested in it, both financially and emotionally. Many still supported him even after he was stripped right up until his Oprah moment. He could have retained some/many if he actually showed genuine remorse or contrition, but it spectacularly backfired.

The irony is the people who may forgive him are the ones he actually bullied or attempted to silence.
i never called her fat.

Agreed. Unlike us, the public is completely ignorant of the sport. That's why Lance is pushing big time for truth and reconciliation.

Hamilton said what now?

Did you miss that bit? He said that had the same type of personality. It makes sense. You'd have to be quite a hard character to not flinch at losing a friend millions of dollars, revealing their private conversation with a doctor and later be happy to see their career and charity go down, effecting the lives of millions of people. It rings a bell. She and he are cut from the same cloth, though Lance probably has more innate intelligence.

Hi, dude. Glad to see you back. How long do you think it will take our new bunch of rather thick mods to figure it out?

I am sideliner here in The Clinic. However, sometimes I am prompted to participate.

Big, with all due respect, in what universe do you reside? I won't play grammar nazi but will say that you have an patent prejudice against BA and a bias for LA. LA "has more innate intelligence"? Again, in what universe? He has drive and no empathy, but he is not a bright man. Scheming with those higher in the food chain saw his star rise and his wrath spatter those not in his allegiance. Now, alone and rightfully abandoned, he is but an ember of the fire that we all perceived at one point. He is your run-of-the-mill dumb jock. Without reinforcements of high-ups, money and public opinion (albeit the cycling public). he shed his wardrobe and is revealed to be ... Lance WHO?

BA, contrarily, projects honesty and strength in her image. She seems brighter and more human.

The guy went on TV to confess, knowing it would lose him millions of fans and create extra legal liabilities, something nobody thought he would ever do. She reacts by going on CNN to cry deliciously, as if his entire career was about a hospital room. Talk about sticking the knife in. I think he was mad to ever allow someone such as her into his circle of friends.

Ya, you would have to be a 'hard character' to not flinch losing someone millions of dollars by showing that they got that millions from deceit, very hard character

Hamilton says Betsy has the same personality as Lance.

.....Link?

Tyler did say this

Hamilton said. "I'd prefer he spend that time on somebody else, Betsy Andreu, Emma O'Reilly, other people who he's destroyed."

Andreu is the wife of former Postal rider Frankie Andreu. Armstrong called her "crazy" and a "*****" when she dared to tell the truth about him. O'Reilly, the team's masseuse, was called a "*****" by Armstrong who eventually sued her after she attempted to expose him.

Yeah he's on message with the talking points. Calling someone a name destroyed them! But what do you think he meant by they have the same type of personality?

The riders on postal were very wary of her. Even Hincapie wrote to Frankie telling him that she was effecting the whole team, please, please could she stop it. She didn't care though.

My theory is her desperate need for Lance to apologise and admit about the hospital room, despite the huge financial cost to him and already having lost almost everything, is about her need to vindicate her actions. Frankie could have ridden several more tours on the winning team, but she ended that. There is a lot of guilt in there.

Ah, there is a lot of hypocrisy. One of Lance's biggest critics actually made a lot of money from Ulrich's doping and never said anything. Indeed he posts on this forum. It will all come out in truth and reconciliation. Hopefully they will have the courage to come forward as Lance is pledging to.

Really?
Please be clear BPC, because you wouldn't want to be accused of being a hypocrite - who (and more importantly) how did this member make a lot of money from Ullrichs doping?

I hope you are not suggesting that someone who works for a sponsor, that would be like accusing the mailman because he works for USPS.

Nice try. An executive of a company who had many VIP jollies to the tour off the back of their sponsorship of a doped up team is rather different than the mailman. Especially if that person had taken the lead in condemning everybody connected to Lance for their financial links to doping. They'd be a prized hypocrite.

No, all those who profited from doping must come clean.

No, BPC it's not that different at all - as it has zero to do with the team doping.
And more so, because you actually wrote "this person made a lot of money from Ullrichs doping".

Yeah, you are supposed to commit perjury for a "friend" and then just lay their when your "friend" does everything to destroy you because you didn't lie under oath.

Who cares? The only person who would post on an online forum to try to sway a few people knows that they are screwed because if they had something legitimate to say, they would say it in person to the media. This is just hack garbage that is slowly circling the drain.
