I think the article suggested that about Armstrong's return competitively on the back of what Tygart said.

Not to beat a dead horse here, but who at this point will want anything to do with Armstrong even if he is free to race or DS tomorrow ? He was the best Frankenstein of the era, but that is of no value today and would be considered a pretty stupid move for any team. Just my .02$

Do you think Tygart when he was at the "Leaders in Sport" conference where he made the remarks had time to sort out the NBA and UEFA?

Could have bailed up the guy from Real Madrid and asked him how did Ronaldo get so big? or how did Bale get ripped in one month?

Surprised Walsh wasn't there peddling his brand.

so, is Yellow Rose hurting one their bottom line in the off-season?

All those dancers at YR hoped to marry a DS, it was the Cinderella story afterall

It's funny you say that because one of the speakers in the link provided is the FIFA medical officer who said doping in the game was a minor problem. This is something Tygart called nonsense in his talk. Check the link I provided earlier in the "Doping in Football/Soccer" thread.

Good on Travis.

As for Walsh, he was giving a talk and moderating at the Securing Sport conference this week which ICSS were doing. ICSS are a credible organisation that addresses corruption, match fixing and criminal activity in sport. They have great people working for them like Chris Eaton. Walsh spoke about getting government involvement in tackling these issues.

Yet he's still all about Lance.

This has become a tired game between Tygart and Lance. Of course, Lance wants things mostly on his terms, but Tygart won't budge much.

What exactly does Armstrong want to compete in at his age? Does he want to pick up where he left off, and do Ironman Triathlons? What do you all think?

I don't think Travis plays 'games'. He is doing his job.

Lance on the other hand lives for games..

Yeah, more of a game on Lance's part. Tygart said he gave Lance a "final opportunity" at the end of last year. I thought that was that.

I doubt anything will happen while the lawsuits are going on.

He's an athlete if you ignore all the bad stuff and probably enjoys the competition. Of course, there appear to be so many demons it doesn't seem like any good could come out of it. The appearance money would be okay too.

And then he gets to pretend he's 'a champion' to his faithful fans he despises.

It appears the reporter did not understand what Travis said. The article infers that there is still the possibly that Lance could get his ban reduced. That is not the case. Yes, bans can be reduced, but the time to do that has long passed for Lance.

"At the end of last year we gave an opportunity - and what we told him was our final opportunity - which he rejected and decided not to come in.

Lance will not be a DS or racing in a Speedo anytime soon. His competition is limited to the courtroom.

Travis believes in the Lord our saviour, Lance doesn't.

The Lord will be they judge.

:

Good 'ole David. Good thinking, let's get the Indian and ****nstan governments involved in stamping out corruption with match fixing...

I'll call John the bookmaker to get some odds on the Indian government stamping out match fixing. And a pitch report..

Tygart not only destroys evil, he gives it a chance to open up as well. To share with the world all its secrets and sins.

He might be our modern day jesus.

That is skewing irrelevant facts for the sole purpose of stirring up invective towards Travis.
It serves no purpose.

Not really. Mercur made the inference, he's also free to choose what he believes.

The evangelism cited was poor. She's better than that.

Just like Emma O'Reily who choose forgiveness, but she's crazy, right?

Do you mean Juliet Macur? she can say what she likes as well..
it seems for you to dredge it up here serves only to incite or see what happens when you mention it.

I guess I will start citing Groucho Marx and add to the confusion. :)

True, she can say what she likes in the bounds of libel laws. She's also open to critisim, comment on online forums discussing those very comments publicly printed.

You're entitled to your principles. No argument there. As are others.

Kinda like dredging up pictures and posting them to a thread not related to the discussion to incite.... well you get the picture.
