i think the sponsorship extension is a credit to the current RS team members who have given the team more wins and podiums since LA retired. we still need to see what happens if (or when) LA is indicted though. i'm sure there are clauses built into those contracts.

also, if the GJ has voted against it we would have all heard about it by now, most of all from lance.

Wonder what the sponsors know about the grand jury investigation? Has the status of the federal investigation been key to this sponsorship extension. Am glad they are staying on. Am sure alll of you are too

Don't know if it was posted before, but dutch newspaper said yesterday that RS will continue sponsorship of the team till 2013

So Armstrong is planning to go to France. This is like giving the US Attorney the finger. Makes it more likely indictments will come down before the end of the Tour.

well that was an anticlimax.

Be willing to bet it happens before the third week of the tour though.

Nothing draws a crowd like a crowd. I know a guy who knows a guy that says the ol' interwebs has beat us again. No charges today.

If there is one thing you can say about The Hog, he never misses an opportunity to be wrong about when something will happen.

I'll take that bet and give you 3 months on top of it.

I doubt that the US Attorney cares in the slightest whether Lance Armstrong visits a bike race. Such a visit would trigger an indictment only in a fantasy.

Another interesting tidbit . . . it looks like Nike has just re-signed Mike Vick to its stable of pitchmen. Even if LA does fall and fall hard - and the jury is still out on this - I say that Nike will NEVER drop LA him as a pitchman, and I doubt Trek will either.

Nike rarely drops people. See Tiger. I think Vick was one of the few athletes they didn't stand by. Even with Kobe they stayed with him, they just didn't push him as much as they would have until a couple years passed.
