I think you are pompous, and see things from a very narrow aspect. American vs European........I wonder are you a former ex pro and if so did you accomplish anything close to Armstrong, Lemond, or Hampsten?

indurain666 said:Oh they've done that already. Some fanboy already posted somewher that LA is "definitely" waiting for the time trial.![]()
dadoorsron said:Everyone is so happy to see the old man Lance not counter attack today and lose time. The main thing is he is still ahead of everyone else but contador. Contador's attack today was fine. It was within team plans and he did what he had to do to win. He had good legs and took time out on his rivals. It was an excellent attack and team Astana showed how strong they are and still have the potential to sweep the podium.
4 years out of the sport and he still is in second! That has to say alot about what level he is at and what level the rest of the riders are at. That is what should be looked at.

Thoughtforfood said:No, he got dropped by all of the real favorites. They will not be scared to attack him again, It only gets worse from here.

dadoorsron said:Yes dropped and lost a few seconds to his rivals. You don't make a attack to keep your podium position until the end stages. To chase done the other guys would be a waste of energy. Even though who knows if he could of went. It's specualtion. He is still a minute plus on Andy schleck and he will gain time on him in the tt. Second place is pretty good for a old man

Read my history of posts - I'm no fan boy. But that's a hell of an accomplishment, period. Very impressive win by AC - looked like the kind of explosiveness we used to see from Pantani, (and maybe even a certain Texan). Chapeau to him.
As for you fools who revel in the failures of others (hard to call 2nd on the podium a "failure"), I can think of NO OTHER WEAKER character flaw. Immensely weak.
BroDeal, I know you're a big enough person to see the accomplishment. If it makes you feel better, go beat up the nieghbor's kid.![]()
to be fair, regardless of his performance today... he is still a doperwilliej said:Agree completely. Some guys like thoughtf and endu666 lose all credibility when they post some of the drivel. if Armstrong won today - he'd have been a doper. If he loses, then he's an old man and let's laugh at America and all of his fans. It makes no difference what he does, so they don't have any credibility regarding the subject. No one was more profuse in their congratulations and admiration of AC than Lance in the post race and no one was more clear that this was a TEAM that he was proud to be a part of. Read JB's twitter - the whole team knew on the bus this morning that this was the plan. Lance should ride into Paris in 2nd and that's an amazing accomplishment. Now he gets to go pass ANOTHER drug test and prove you guys wrong again for the 10,000th time! It's starting to become obvious that some of you hate him just becasue he's American. What the heck was that "hello America" comment? regardless of what happens from here forward. Lance Armstrong is still the winningest TDF rider and with a 4 year break and at 37 years old, he's in second place with a week to go. As Hogan said the first time he saw Jack hit a golf ball - "he play's a game with which I'm not familiar". That can most certainly be said about Lance.
