Convienent how you can add the 40sec on for Armstrongs 'cheeky' move but you still include Le Mevel and Nocentini when they gained the time as part of breakaways that clearly had nothing to do with their superior strength. Le Mevel gained 5:30 in stage 14.

Once you take out those 2 riders, Armstrong moves up to 8th. Not that dismal. 2 sec behind Sastre, ahead of Vande Velde and only 30 sec down on the superstar A Schleck.

Fair enough. But those two guys are riding for teams not exactly up to Astana. But fair enough. You're right. Let's wait and see, though, what happens next...and again, if according to Lance's own criteria in regards to the two you mentioned above, his performance is a "joke."

No geometry wasnt my thing although I did get an A in College Algebra.
Crossword puzzles and Sudoku I dont have time for. I have a Management degree. Give me an organization to run and I'll take care of it.

Algebra is a high school subject not a college subject unless you went to a vocational college.

I'm praying and I hope you are praying that Contador has an accident tomorrow. Lance is going to win the tour. he has an indomitable spirit. Unless his jewish hollywood friends are not his friends and have been poisoning him.

What?
So I could get a Mathematics degree at any college or univerisity and not have to take any Algebra classes?
Have you ever heard of Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, or Commutative Algebra?

LOL! Watching it live!
After a breakaway started Contador went to Armstrong and from the gestures asked if thats
"Is that OK to let them go?"
he replied(what I saw from lip reading:
"It's OK! don't worry!"
Contador went behind Armstrong, clearly letting the old champ dictate the race! Lance ain't a lieutenant domestic, lol , he's a general of the armies:D

LOL; More like "The Little Corporal".
Eurosport interview with Lance.
"Even when I was in my prime, I couldn't match what Alberto did at Verbier...."

So there you have it, Contador climbs better than Lance ever could.

Would it be too cynical to say that Lance is just setting Contadore up for a positive control?

Impressive showing by the old man today. He showed he still has it every now and then, just not everyday. Go Lance!!!

This is funny...you dont know Belokki is one of the biggest Lance fanboys out there but has been very quiet this July, perhaps not surprising really.

Very impressive for lance to close a 30 second gap within one and halfK Or two I couldn't tell. He could of road pass the guys. He won't win the tour but 2nd still looks to be his!

If he's a 'fanboy' he must have split personality issues.:D

This is absolute BS. The only objective figures can be found in Coyle's study (see Table) which show that Lance did not lose body weight or lean body weight pre- and post-cancer.

Picture1-1.png

Are you kidding me? Training at altitude for 9 hours a day, 365 days a year? No one trains that hard, even Lance, at sea level, and cyclists like Lance train at altitude for a small percentage of the year. You were comparing altitude training to blood transfusions and EPO. I showed you scientific literature that showed maximum increases with altitude training or tents is 3-4%. Compare that to 20-25% for EPO.

The 1999 figure is his pre-season weight. Like any athlete, he probably put on some weight between July 1999 and Nov 1999.

The other thing you're missing in the strict "lean body weight only analysis" is the redistribution of the weight. If you look at pictures from 1993 and pictures from 1999, there's less upper body mass. Period. There's also possibly more lower body mass.

Even the pics of him taking 4th in the 1998 Vuelta he looks like his upper body is much much smaller.
