Martin attacks a few more times in Ireland. Eventually he gets clear with only Brammeier able to follow. Roche, Bennett and McCann are 15 seconds behind. Lavery and McLaughlin a few seconds further back. Irvine seems to have been dropped by all of them.

He's probably done his share of the work for today and has decided to quit. The tour only starts in the second week, remember...

He'd worked but not a whole lot...

That 'attack' by Gesink could have lost them the nats and their only hope at success for the Tour. It was far too early in the race, so the cycling Gods may have decided to punish them for their stupidity.

I'm confused about the swiss and german nationals... Swiss does not show any updates for half an hour now and germany seems to have crashed at the sprint :eek:
