Hehe Terpstra winning last year was fun :)
They do have some competition this year again, but normally they should win it.

Anyone has a profile of the dutch championship? I checked the site, but all I could see was a tiny image with a profile that looked like stage 15 of the Giro...
That's quite impossible :D

I'm including that cause it's funny.

Official National Championships thread - many of the big national championships are coming up soon in for the USA, GB and the rest of Europe. The American nats are coming up yjis weekend so I thought we would have a thread for this for the next month of nationals.

The first nationals coming up are the American nationals...
USA Cycling Pro Championships, May 28-30:Official Website

I will post dates up of the other national championships at a later time. Can others send me links to other main championships so I can make a list.

British RR Champs: June 26th Official Website
Belgian Championships June 26th (website coming)

How about listing those already completed in the OP? Aus, NZ, RSA already completed I think

From memory:

Aus Road - Jack Bobridge
Aus TT - Cameron Meyer

NZ Road - Hayden Roulston
NZ TT - Wes Gough

RSA Road - Darren Lill
RSA TT - Darryl Impey

ARG Road - Emanuel Saldaño
ARG TT - Leandro Messineo

EDIT: Turns out Wes Gough, not Jack Bauer is the TT Champ for NZ. Updated the Argies too

Marc de maar is coming into these nats having competed at a higher level these past few years so watch out dutchies.

As for the list of completed championships, the argies had theres a month or 2 ago. All i know is that neither Jose nor Seba competed so its someone local.

Ah yeah Hitch, thought I remembered someone (you?) mentioning that before. Updated my post to include those riders (and added a correction).

EDIT: then again, from the race info:

Parcours kengetallen:
• Lengte: 13,5 km
• Hoogste punt: Wittenberg 69 + NAP
• Hellingen: 3 - 6 %
• Startlocatie: Almelosestraat ter hoogte van Tichelwerk
• VIP locatie: Hotel Restaurant Wyllandrie

This is so professional.

he must be gutted, the RR TT double at nats, makes a rider employable due to uci points. he could do the double at the dutch nats (maybe) but i reckon he'd be more confident in the antilles

Anyone got a profile for the British national course and know who's turning up? Or will it just be a case of team sky deciding before hand who will win it then putting up a pretence of competitiveness?

Best I can find on the GB championships.

The womens race will start at 9am and use the same route as that used by the Beaumont Trophy (National Premier Calender race) in previous years. The race will consist of one lap of the Ryals Circuit which is 22.3mls and then 3 laps of the smaller circuit, The total race distance will be 64mls.

The mens race will start at 1.30pm and use both of the circuits used in the women's event. The larger circuit is 22.3mls and includes the climb of the Ryals which will be tackled 3 times by the riders. Once the big circuit has been completed 3 times passing through the villages of Matfen and Stamfordham on each lap the riders will move onto the finishing circuit of 13.9mls which will be completed four times making a total race distance of 122.5mls..

The route is flatter than last year. Someone like Swift will win.

Gaetan Bille isn't mediocre. He's young and very talented.

That's why he's still mediocre when it comes to riding in the pro peloton. I don't want a rider like him to win, because there are no guarantees he'll be a future great.

Remember Jurgen Van Goolen?

Yeah just had a look at what was posted he has to be heavy favourite especially because he will be surrounded by "teammates".
