For some reason that looks incredibly Swedish to me.

edit: you know, like a stave podium ceremony.
(and yes, I know stave churches are mostly a Norwegian thing)

What's the point in having a podium girl when she's covered with clothes except for her hands and face?

I dont know if he is riding the TT, but Stybar is not from Slovakia so he wont be riding there unless the Czech and Slovakian championship are together.

I want Thomas De Gendt for Belgian National Champion!

No doubt he will show it more than Devolder did (not very difficult), it's our own Voeckler!

Hmm... Seems like Alex Rasmussen's recipe for success at the TT is simply don't puncture.

When I read that he'd missed the victory in last year's TT nationals I... LoL'ed!:D

Belgian champ jersey in the attack every other stage in the Tour would be so awesome :D But I think Tomke will take it though... very soon we'll know :)

Mostly we discuss only mens cycling but noticed this on the front page.

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/58th-national-championship-title-for-longo

the "eternal" Jeannie Longo has added yet another national championship victory to what is arguably the most impressive palmarès ever in women's cycling. At 52 years of age, Longo snatched her 58th national championship crown, taking her fourth consecutive of a total of 11 victories in the women's time trial.

the humiliaton of pro cyclists in italy has reached a peak this morning.the federal conseil has approved that stupid rule but they saved bennati,if the suspension is under 6 months it's ok to ride,a little gate opened to the leopard rider.if the attorneys can't do their job and go to the higher justice institutions, the association of pro riders in italy should immediately boycott the national champs and from their attitude regarding this illegal retroactivity acts,i'm sure they will.
if not,the word on the street is that the fans will block the race.cycling legends like garzelli, basso,di luca and petacchi have lots of fans which are getting sick of this witch hunting.
i expect the riders to act united like in the days of 24 and 29 july of 1998.

Jens_attacks is a fan of the epic of cycling. Can you fault him for that?

EPIC

Not epic enough as he survived. You have to end up lying dead in some obscure hotel room or hospital bed to be a TRUE cycling hero.
