He's made me go all weak at the knees too. Was it the stage to Morzine in 2000 that Pantani attacked from the gun and Lance bonked during the chase and almost lost the race? Has Cadel been evoking the spirit of Il Pirata?

What's the point in sitting in Astana's shadow until the Alps? I reckon Evans has realised that would be folly and good luck to him.

However because of his years as a mountain bike rider, Cadel is brilliant with the decents
