Just read the stage 6 Tour de Suisse results. Under points classification two riders have -5 points. Is that a typo or is it actually possible to loose points?

When you get penalized you lose points. For example if you were caught hanging on a car during a climb, you might get a few points knocked off.

Kirchen's specialty, the always impeccably timed final uphill sprint!

Yeah, been awhile since we've seen it. Looks like he might be coming into form right on time for the Tour.

Valjavec has to attack on the climb and get some time tomorrow. He's got no chance to hold on after the TT over Cancellara, Martin, Kloden, and Kreuziger with the lead he's got.

Nice teamwork by the Columbia guys. Albasini jumping to Kreuzigers wheel, then Monfort attacks to pave the way for Kirchen. I think Monfort is riding himself into the Tour squad here in Switzerland. Good to see that Kreuziger at least tried to attack Cancellara. The other contenders (Klöden, Valjavec) kept awfully quiet today. Or maybe they're just saving it all for Crans Montana? But they'll have to take at least a minute back if they still want to make a chance at the overall win.

Columbia just cannot stop winning stages right now. They don't really have any top-tier GC contenders, but they are packed with talented sprinters, puncheurs, roleurs and all-rounders. They could easily win seven or eight stages at the TdF if they keep this up.

To ad to the boredom of the whole event, coupled with the watery parcours, we now have had Columbia taking 5 of the 6 road stages.
Providing Tony Martin is uninjured, they must be hot favourites for the team TT, too.
Not bad for the "Dream Clean Team"; something of an Astana fan's wet dream, but hardly inspiring for the neutrals.

their hasn't been much excitement to the tour de suisse this year. not many of the tour de france contenders have been doing much and holding back a fair bit. if kreuziger, kloeden or schleck don't get 1 or 1 1/2 mins on Cancelara they will lose the tour de suisse as cancellara will take a fair bit of time out of them. the boring tour de suisse is proved by that Cancellara a time trial specialist is in the lead and the other contenders are holding back behind him. hoopefully they will let loose tonight. Hopefully i don't fall asleep watching it. i think andy schleck will have a go tonight to test his legs for the tour.;)

Dekker 12th...finally a sign of 2008 form.

Hope Dekker can get back into the form he had in 2007. he was winning many races back then Tirreno-Adriatico and tour de romandie. can anyone tell me what happened to him. i thought and still think that Dekker could go high in the GC at the tour in another few years. he has got a strong time trial and can climb well.:)

Well the form he had in the spring season in 2008 was better than his 2007 form. 3rd in Castilla y Leon (behind Contador and Soler), 3rd in Pais Vasco (behind Contador and Evans, the best stage-racers), 5th in AGR, 5th in Fleche, 6th in LBL. Even though he was not winning, it were his best performances ever. And then it went wrong :)

At least he is coming back, hopefully he can do better again on Crans Montana, as Mellow Velo said, the mountain where he won in 2007 :)

Cancellara should walk it tonight in the final TT and win it and Saxo Bank and Columbia would be the only two teams who have won stages!
