Just commenting on what I saw and perceived from afar, including based on my own personal experience suffering a gruesome knee injury in a crash.
You have extensive experience w beefing it!!
Wout looked to have heavy flow from multiple spots. I have had tiny cuts on my head especially, and on my body that bled out like it was being pumped directly from my heart out onto the pavement. When your skin is wet and hot, you can get tears easier, not just standard road rash abrasions. His face was looking like he was in some serious grief as to be expected but didn't touch or look to be favoring his shoulder or collar bone. Had pretty good steam of blood!! Even small cuts look serious when you are wet, heart pumping full blast..
I don't think Papp is synonymous w crashing in the US!! Thank goodness!!

"Wout first got on his bike to try it. Of course we had seen the wound on his knee, but it is a rider's instinct to get back on that bike," said Engels after the ride.

“However, Wout quickly said on the radio that he couldn’t pedal. A few bends further on, we stopped again. The doctor came to clean the wound and Wout said that it wouldn’t work anymore. For me, the ride continued, but of course you don’t want to see things like this. Very disappointing, because Wout was also just getting into a good swing .”

I remember Mas 2022 or something was like this for a long time; crashed hard and afraid of crashing for months afterwards hence crashing more often. So I've just assumed the same is true for Wout temporarily. Glad it wasn't worse this time ❤️ Still 💔
