He didn't take part in the competition. It was a guest appearance. It was in May I believe so he had other goals.

So what's the deal with Van Aert and his injury? On the one hand, there are reports that he's still having issues with his knee and can't do any running, and on the other hand, we see photos of him from Visma training camps and training rides with team mates. Anyone with some information?

Everything is fine now. There were issues with his knees which meant he started a bit later with his running schedule. Which has an effect on when he starts CX.

But everything is alright for road season.
