I would think he's pondering the success and enjoying it a bit. He also would recognize it was a team effort today. He's also the kind of racer that dedicates efforts to the success of his mates and deserves that respect in return.

He has a lifetime contract and was already instrumental in a GT win this year. Maybe this is the future with that contract that he only provides good team service for one day a year.

Maertens: three in a row, 1976 Tour to 1977 Giro (with a collective 28 stage wins, even without finishing the Giro).

Groves also is in this club with the exact same races as Wout (also the exact same number of stage wins and similar distribution - he should honestly go to the Vuelta to get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the stage win in all three Grand Tours in the same year achievement).

Mads Pedersen had four in a row (Tour 2022 - Tour 2023).

Dumoulin also joins the club (Vuelta 2015 - Tour 2016).

Impressively, Froome is not in the club even though he outright won three in a row, but he didn't win any stage in neither Tour of 2017 or 2018.

I can't find anyone else from the recent past.

His level has not been good enough to really help the team and he has not been close to a win apart from stage 8 (where he was second but still not close to beating Milan) and the last few days he has made some absurd attacks that were nowhere near to bring him anything other than an image of a señor desperado. Especially week 1 was a massive disappointment where he couldn't compete on a route that suited him quite excellently.

For instance in 2022, I think all agree.
