This was the afternoon of pure domination.
In womens event Kowalchyk destroyed the field by putting best results in every part of the competition, from qualifying to the final. It looked like she was racing with kids, even Martin Bjoergen was humiliated. 3/3 for Justina and still counting.
In mens event Russians proved once again that classic sprint is their dicipline, after coming 1st and 2nd in the Olympics, here they were 1,2,3,4 something I never saw in a sprint before. Olympic champion Kriukov won in front of Petukhov who is leading sprint World Cup. But expect more from Alexei when they come to Toblach for the freestyle sprint. Morilov was 3rd, with Japarov 4th, which means he is now 3rd overall. Cologna just grabbed 5th after Northugs fall. Even though he was last in the final he is now the overall leader of the Tour de Ski, in front of Cologna. Axel Teichman, who started the day as leader fell to 8th, after falling to reach the QF.
