Earlier he stated he couldn't keep up without doping so he was forced to dope, then he begins to not only keep up but actually begins to win, but then he decides to never dope again and yet he keeps winning. Wow that stuff has some prolonged effect.

Actually I'm surprised he didn't go with that old favourite, "It didn't even work for me".

O'Grady is an idiot. He could have faded into obscurity and no one would have bothered with him anymore or cared about his wins. Instead, he needed to assure everybody that he's not a fraud, thus drawing attention to the fact that he's even more of a fraud than most of the general public believed.

It is the argument many are using against past dopers. I am guessing based on a recent study that suggests long term steroid use has lifetime effects. Could that past doping chang his physiology enough that he could keep up after a term of drug cheating?

The problem for Stuey is that he did not come out and confess to his 1999 doping, then the truce came out through the tests, so he has lost peoples trust, so when he says what he says about P-R and the olympics it is natural for people to not beleive him, he would be better keeping his mouth shut even if he didn't dope then

O'Grady claims to have taken EPO in "extremely cautious amounts" for two weeks prior to TdF1998 and then destroyed all of his stash when the Festina affair broke, right before the Tour started. Still his sample from July 26, two weeks into the race, was positive for EPO. How can anyone believe even that part of the story?

Australia has just thrashed England 5-0 in the Ashes test series and the Aus Open is just around the corner with Lleyton Hewitt showing his first real form in donkeys years. The English Premier League is getting more publicity ATM than off season cycling news ever will and even though the TDU is a few weeks away it's only a small blip in the sports news here.
