According to Dutch commentators the gap, hand-clocked, is 49 seconds.

So it still looks like a sprint

With Cancellara in the front group? When gap is coming down, he will go for sure.

Nordhaug. What do we think of this? Going own chance or annoying front group? Open to debate.

It would be great if the BBC commentator would turn is microphone off when he's coughing and spluttering. It sounds disgusting.
Does anybody know who he is? (I know the other is Boardman) This guy has the amazing ability to dumb down cycling even more than P&P!
At least you can hear english commentary. My Arabic sucks.

You guys don't get it. Two days a year these guys ride under national colors. the other racing days they get paid. For those two days, do you think they are going to do anything to screw up the part of their life where they are paid to ride?

They should decline to participate if they can't fulfill their obligations to their national federations. Surely somebody can be found who doesn't have any conflict of interest there. And if that person gets dropped on the first climb, at least he was honest.

It's probably my imagination, but it seems like Nibles is truly throwing everything he has on the table to make a point
