You guys don't get it. Two days a year these guys ride under national colors. the other racing days they get paid. For those two days, do you think they are going to do anything to screw up the part of their life where they are paid to ride?

They should decline to participate if they can't fulfill their obligations to their national federations. Surely somebody can be found who doesn't have any conflict of interest there. And if that person gets dropped on the first climb, at least he was honest.
