Can I get away with it if I ask you now? :p

And I vote Langeveld for Het Volk. I have 2 reasons.
1) Wishfull thinking.
2) I still haven't forgiven the Rabo's for what they did last year.
..

Langeveld is coming back from knee problems and will probably not be good enough this weekend. He's hoping he'll have his form back during/after the Tirreno.

Interviews with Van Petegem (in Dutch) and Hushovd (in English) on Belgian TV yesterday:

Not expecting too much from Cervelo this weekend as haussler and hushovd have had illness or injury. But the have brought a strong team so you never know. So many different riders to choose from for the win

Just a little list of the favs
Cervelo - haussler, hushovd
Lotto - gilbert, hoste or van avermaet
quickstep - boonen, chavanel and devolder
Sky - Boasson hagen, flecha
Garmin - maaskant, van summeren
katusha - pozzato, mcewen (think he might come up with a surprise)
Saxo - O'Grady, breschel
BMC - burghardt, hincapie, ballan and kroon

Too many good riders to pick from!!!

I'm gonna go for...
1. Edvald boasson Hagen
2. Boonen
3. Burghardt

Ya, while Cervélo won't perform the way they would probably want to it's still going to be interesting to see what Klier, Hunt and Hammond can do when they don't have the more obvious leaders to focus on.

Don't think gilbert wil do too much. I thought he had a sore knee or something?

What is your thinking with Van summeren?

Didn't know that about Gilbert.

As for Van Summeren, just a hunch really. He showed that he can have good legs in the spring, it is going to be nasty, he is from Belgium, and I think someone unexpected will slip into a small move near the end. He is also keen to move his name up into the company of people like Devolder and Haussler Guess if I had to change Gilbert, it would be to put in Pozzato. I just don't think the Boonen train is what it was, and I think he will try to be a factor, but in the end it is too early for him to be in his best form. I look for him to win P-R again.

So, official change

1. EBH
2. Pozzato
3. Van Summeren

Nah Im hanging around at 12pm to steal your picks just to wind you up :D

Honestly, first rule of betting, never ever bet on who you WANT to win, it can only bring bad luck. So Whatever I do i will put EBH Second at best..

Probably something along the line of Boonen, Gilbert, Hammond, so if EbH does win i wont care..

What i geniunly hope/think will happen. EbH has a great chance, possibly the best chance he will have this season of winning a semi/classic, but its so hard to predict these races. Stannard, i think could top 20 and surprise people. Not sure if Hammond is even riding, but i would not bet against him being in the top 10, maybe podium.

I just read that he didn't recon the course with his team, so it seems like there might be something to it. Then again, if he comes in 2nd or wins, I will lose because of your bad information....:D I wasn't married to that pick anyway. I thought about Ballan or Pozzato for 2nd too and flipped a three sided coin in my head, and Gilbert came up. Plus I like Gilbert.
