I think Bradley Wiggins' article was better. I think the GB team deserve to be considered one of the better country but only in road and Track. This year they did not win so much in track and screwed up the Vuelta. They then won the WC ( congrats to all of them ). However Australia won many medals track, has an exciting BMX program and other off road events came 2nd at WC and won the TDF.

And Spain, Italy, France and Belgium are the heartlands of cycling.

I think Cav will not win the Olympic RR. Goss will have learnt from the WC and Cav will somewhere get dropped. Also a crash might happen.

Downhill MTB in last 4 worlds uk won 5 of the 8 gold medals in mens and womens events plus had other medals too boot, bmx? Shaznee Reade won 3 of last 5 worlds.

I don't really care what Cav says because he's always backed it up, and I have no doubt he'll do it again in 2012.

I don't think they screwed the Vuelta up. Cobo was just better than Wiggins over three weeks. Maybe they were too inflexible and made Froome work when they should have been protecting him. But honestly, this is a guy who had done absolutely sweet FA in his career, obviously in the form of his life. He'd never even held it together over ONE week before, let alone three. It made total sense to run him into the ground for the guy who's won prestigious one day races and finished top 5 in Grand Tours, and make the best of that form while it lasted.

It's still lasting now.

You beat me to it. Also, Froome seems to be following the Wiggins step up programme of from nowhere to GC contender in a blink of an eye. At least Cobo has some credentials as a GC rider, not a laughing group chaser to GC guy just like that.
