It is a well known FACT that Jan was very careful about his weight - which is why it got reported so often by gutter tabloids like L'Equipe and LeMonde, ARD, CyclingNews.
Jan was one of the first riders ever to adopt a Gluten Free diet - when he found out that one of his team-mates had started the diet Jan ate him.

If you hate riders why not leave them alone. They don't care about your words.
Peace and go ride your bike. If you don't I will go ride it for you.
Dr. Maserati said:I had raised this issue on another thread!
So let me have a crack at it:
All you Jan haters, hate excellence and have probably never ridden a bike.
Jan has never tested positive for PEDs - never!
The ecstasy that he took was during a time when he was injured and feeling down - something saddos like you would never understand because you are not champions like Jan.
I am not a Jan fan-boy but he has done more to highlight obesity than any of you losers have ever done. Bingo, lol.
The only reason Jan went to Dr. Fuentes was because of his weight issues - and he kept it secret so no-one would know because he was embarrassed.
We don't even know if Jan's blood was in Dr. Fuentes fridge - where was the chain of custody?! The Spanish hate Germans - probably some Spanish lab worker spiked Jan's sample.
Jan was Amateur World Champion at 19 in 1993 in Oslo, Norway - do you really think a guy who did that and finishes his first Tour in second would need to use PED's?? Lol...
Jeff D'Hont is a liar - it was only hearsay anyway - he just wrote a book to get money, loser. Franke is a politician just trying to get his sad bitter face on TV and hates that Jan is more popular than him. As for the German media - hello, the home of propaganda, pleeez...
So - if there was so much evidence against Jan then why is it the UCI have never started an investigation on it? O ya- because they're corrupt and sweep stuff under the carpet! Lol....![]()
thehog said:Jan Ullrich was a German hero. But he missed his opportunity a long time ago to tell the truth. He now lives in a prison of his own making. He has to hope that things will settle down, that the past won't be raked up again. So far his wish has come true.
R.0.t.O said:Presumably Jan has enough money to live happily, and of course he has to protect that by lying just enough. If they genuinely have this evidence of €80k paid to Fuentes then clearly Ulli has perjured himself in his civil case with Werner Franke; that's not a good position to be in when police seem to be a little vindictive in going after you. Jan doesn't seem to be lying to the public anymore but obviously he's not going to say anything he doesn't have to because he's got too much to lose. Hopefully some day the conditions will be right for him to tell the whole story.
"Whoever still can't put one and one together about what happened in cycling is beyond my help."
thehog said:Problem always being is Jan holds the key. He knows that Deutsche Telecom and the German government by extension of Freiburg authorised the doping programs. If they want o to take Ullrich down, he'll take Germany's pride and joy with him. Everytime someone says they will take him down or charge him he mentions his "tell all book" - that will never be published.
