lol, no way. jvdb was and is an incredible talent in many ways. seeldrayers was a good talent but more like eltink.

I think Seeldraeyers has shown enough by now to rate him above the Eltink category. And VDB might have a big engine, but he doesn't seem to have that natural climbing talent that Seeldraeyers has.

Everybody has nasty falls and crashes at some point in the career, it's how they bounce back from them that tell you if they are mentally strong or not.

If you see how Gesink bounced back after his Tour crashes. Or Fränk Schleck after nearly every race crash he had ... then it's a world of difference

I didn't imply the crash in the Dauphiné was the key for his bad season. More like a sum of all these things.

With the weather outside I wouldn't have minded if I missed Cavendish outsprinting Cancellara this Sunday. It's warm and sunny in Edinburgh, with next to no wind. That's a triple whammy that doesn't come round often. Biking day.
