Pretty bad performance from Team BikeExchange. Matthews sprinting like mad and almost closing the gap to Roglic only to be fourth in a bonus sprint.

Strong performance by Roglic, who's showing a good form early in the season. TBH I expected him to attack in the last kilometer (in his style) but looking at an uneven profile of the last climb it's logical that he used last steep ramp to make the difference.
And also managed to steal 3 bonus seconds on the sprint.

It's a shame Roglic isn't in Tirreno instead.

A few guys from a fluke Giro and a bunch of third-rate GC riders is no competition compared to Bernal, Pogacar, Yates, Thomas, Pinot, Bardet, Nibali, Landa, Quintana, Alaphilippe.

Betting on my compatriot Roglič pays off well. I posted here yesterday, he will crush everyone in his old school hill sprint. Instead of that he blew everyone even nicely, strong old school attack. Where are all pussies now, writing he is not the attacking fighter? He attacks when he needs to. He crushes everyone's dream if it is needed to. Now it is on others to attack him, he will just nicely defend himself and outsprint everyone on the top of the mountain. Primož would win Tour last year easily if he would not be injuried. On final ITT he'd be maximum 25 seconds behind Pogi, Pogi would still win that stage but not Tour overall. But yes, it is just IF not injuried. He will now punish everyone this year.

Slovenia all the way now, Pogi for Tirreno. Can't wait for battle between them in Basque Country in April.

I really want to see the windtunnel testing and results of that helmet. It doesn't even align snugly with the forehead creating huge pockets left and right, regardless of the ridiculous shape and size. Those two "vents" don't seem very efficient either. Maybe in optimal conditions they could have their advantage, but what if the rider tilts his head up or down too much? We've seen revolutionary designs before, that were considered complete failures a few years later.
the guy on eursport said its the fastest out there if you dont move your head, if you do its the slowest. Also which kind of shocked me, he says helmets with visor are slower

Campenaerts did a lot of testing with his helmets with and without visor, and noticed without a visor they were faster, but that was for thàt type of helmet, not for this UFO helmet. I can not imagine it to be true here, considering those large corners left and right of the forehead where pockets of air will definitely disturb the airflow.

Thanks for the info though, i can see what you are saying about being the fastest/slowest depending on the positioning of the head, but i don't believe the visor comment to be true for this model.

Well, betting in this race is a not a big deal and you don't have to be Nostradamus to know the results.

So far a good race for Matteo Jorgenson. He's said he needs to learn how to race stage races and he's currently in the top 10 in GC. Hoping he can stay there.
