Nice course but a super-weak GC field.
I was checking the provisional startlist and, while it's not as stacked as in some other years, there's definitely enough talent:
For GC you have: Roglic/Kruijswijk/Bennett vs TGH/Porte + G. Martin, Vlasov, Hindley, Schachmann, Gaudu, McNulty and a number of outsiders.

The thing is most of today's biggest cycling stars (Pogacar, Van Aert, Alaphilippe, Van der Poel?, Ganna) will ride Tirreno-Adriatico.
The Greatest will be at PN though.

Probably a case of the anglo Saxons being underrated again by anyone who considers this a weak field.

Two thirds of last years Tour podium, first and second at last year’s Giro... and there are complaints about the GC field? Its not a Tour level field but it’s good by almost any other race’s standards.

And the sprinter field is superb.

The actual weakness is in the puncheurs and classics department. Which is unfortunate because PN usually suits those guys. It just makes more sense for them to be in Italy at the moment.
