Looking forward to today's stage as it's my regular training area around the Chevreuse. A few steep ramps and tiny roads they could have chosen to make a petite classique but didn't...I was going to ride out there to catch a bit of it but it's minus 2 right now so will watch from comfort of couch this afternoon...

I think Porte will be tough man in the mountain stages, but with Time trial I hardly see anyone beating Roglič in GC. Of course, if Roglič has no bad luck etc. In time trial I think he will be his old Time trial Roglič when he puts the hammer down and do some great difference to others.

I have higher expectations of P–N than this route. With the TT being quite flat, it is acceptable, but not more than that.

They are on their way!
What do you think about today? Sprint? Echelons? Attack of puncheur?
I read there is not a lot of wind today..

Recap of today's stage:

Demare-hilly. The final few hundred meters are rising, but it's still to be decided by the sprinters.

Two laps of the circuit. The wind is from NE, but too weak (~10 km/h) to cause echelons.

Ineos seemed to be split into one group looking after Tao (up front) and one group looking after Richie (further back). They've already had two riders hit the pavement (Richie and Laurens de Plus).
