Very nice victory by Burgaudeau, love these kind of wins!

however incredible how Trek messed this up. Stuyven rode only 15 meters on the front in this stage. And Pedersen can thank Mollema for losing this stage for him. If Mollema would not have problems following Laporte and Mozatto they would surely have caught Burgaudeau.

Pedersen is similar to Kristoff.

And in his golden 2015, he did Nice (stage win) Sanremo (2nd) and Flanders (1st) with great success. I don't think that is an odd combination.

The peleton forget that around 700 metres of the last km was downhill which allowed Burgeaudeau to hang on.

With the way he's climbing, why isn't Mads Pedersen riding MSR?
Actually why hasn't he ever ridden it?

He said this week that Stuyven deserves full leadership at San Remo after winning it last year.

But I also don’t understand why he has never ridden it, as it suits him better than Flanders in my opinion. Also Stuyven can only benefit from his presence.

Hmm, single leader doesn’t even make sense for MSR because it might be one type of rider who can win because they have enough power to get into a small group that gets away over the top of the Poggio and stays away till the finish, and another type of rider (a sprinter) who can win if the race comes back together for a bunch sprint.

This Paris-Nice has been very entertaining in general with maybe the exception of yesterdays stage. Though we still got 3km of GC action, which is decent for todays standards haha. But not a single boring sprinter stage snooze-fest.
