We briefly saw Novak and Bjerg together with Van Hooydonck, I think they are in a group behind the peloton.

For Vingegaard, I think Jumbo may overstate his recovery and high altitude components a bit in that it completely ignores how brutally strong he was on Plateau de Solaison in the Dauphine, as well as that he was already matching Pogacar on Planche de Belles Filles on low altitude. Secondly, when Vingegaard dropped Pogacar on the Ventoux, it was the 2nd week and Ventoux is moderate altitude. He got beaten on the Portet which is higher and 3rd week, and he got dropped on Tignes which is also 2000m+.

Overstating it how?

It doesn't have to be a big difference to have an impact.

A 0,5 % advantage over a 5 hour effort, is still 1 minute 30 seconds.

That Vingegaard can follow Pogacar at lower altitude or in week 2, doesn't really tell us much, except that they are both world class climbers and very close to each other in terms of capability, .. it's just that Vingegaard generally has a small advantage week 3 and at high altitude... according to Jumbo.

5 of the riders in the break have pulled away from the rest on the descent. Küng going hard, he can survive Peille. Tratnik is also among the 5.

You're not on high altitude for a long time even during high altitude stages. And watts at while chill pacing in the peloton are not the same as watts on the final MTF going full throttle.

No desperate GC moves here, the harder Èze is apparently worth waiting for. Gaudu must think that Küng can be of help after that.

Schultz with his typical good last stage of a stage race, sadly always being an hour behind in GC.

Latour is gone btw.

With the break taking the bonus seconds at La Turbie, the 12'' advantage for Pogi makes the finale even simpler for him.

While Wellens has looked good, I don't think he and Grossschartner can keep Küng in check before Èze.

At Spanish TV, Purito Rodriguez has just said for him Gaudu was even stronger than Vingegard....and a big difference with Poggacar.
I didnt see that yesterday. Vingegard was working for his rivals and he was close to them at the end.. so is for me a similar performance.
And the other day was a better day for Pogacar, but Vingegard did two mistake and lost a big time, so, in term of sport, he was clearly defeated, and we have to aplause Pogacar, bur it terms of level, it was an small difference. Yesterday climb was anough long, but the stage wanst too hard really.
