So Buitrago wins, congrats! Also good performance by Plapp, the new leader. UAE not that strong today, lost their whole advantage basically. Remco attacked at the end and gained a couple of seconds. Primoz kinda...stomped (by Remco and co), not the best finish by him.

I don't even want to hear it anymore some delusional fans like "elos troll" claiming these guy can beat in normal conditions guys like Pogacar and Vingegaard in the Tour.

The only things that he does in the last months since September, is dropping his own teammates, and burn is team to not let scaroni going to far, and even in the last 500 m he can't do anything.

Rogla is better in the heat, July is a different story.

Great win for Buitrago. Almeida lost his buffer to Evenepoel but now the team doesn’t have to ride with the jersey gone. Evenepoel and Skjelmose looked great while Roglic looked like he could have bled more time. Shaking up to be a good weekend.

If so, it should be easy to find a very fitting example.

He needs time to get used to GC racing,

He had an illness (because he’s the only one that can get sick),
The weather wasn’t in his favor,
His federation doesn’t like or want to support him, His team isn’t supporting him properly or at all,
I can’t believe that rider is going to UAE and going to give away information on Roglic and the team,
Other teams are out to get him especially Bahrain,
Riders shouldn’t sprint against Roglic when they’re no names,
When other riders ride against Roglic they’re strong but against the competitors they’re weak.



Just because you didn’t agree with some of these at the time doesn’t mean they didn’t occur. His thread is riddled with it, just like Evenepoel’s.

Both Plapp and Buitrago were way stronger than I expected at the final climb. They had been on their own for quite a significant time (descent or not, they still had to really push) and barely lost anything to the chasers at the final climb. Platt done very well to do his own pace. Really happy for both of them that it payed off, GC lead and stage win, perfect result.
Neither Remco nor Roglic looking too great right now. Remco looks better but losing out to Skjelmose as well as barely getting a gap to the rest shows that he's quite off his LBL peak form where he just drops everyone off his wheel. Roglics stomp totally non existent so far in a Bora kit.

The peloton split on the descent of the third last climb, then the bonus sprint before GC attacks by Plapp and Santi on the penultimate climb. Only the best possible development could have delivered much more.

Even if Roglic improves his condition, and comes in le tour with better shape (maybe it's too cold like nesterk said), today was not a good sign. He had the team work at the wrong times, he didnt lead well, he isolated himself, he couldn't fight for position well, he seems not confident. Bora don't look very good at the moment.

Nope. I think you have a distorted view of what has transpired, and I think that if you were forced to show a specific example, it wouldn't show what you expect.
