Skjelmose posted this

Skjelmose mentions in addition to his other injuries an injury to his back that needs further medical attention by specialists, hopefully it's nothing that could interfere with his cycling in the near future. Back injuries suck no matter how minor or major.

McNulty already dropped apparenlty on the flat basically so must all be sick.

Astana laughing right now. Another free 2 place by the end of the day and a bunch of points.
McNulty is too brittle to be relied on as a leader in stage races but to drop on the false flat so early is surely sickness related.

Confirmed by the team.

McNulty also abandons

Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates-XRG), Max Walker (EF Education-EasyPost) and Adrien Petit (Intermarché-Wanty) have all abandoned after being dropped early in the stage.
McNulty has been feeling ill the past couple of days, his team says.
