Doesn't seem like any of the GC teams care much about the start order for the TTT.

What an odd award ceremony... I thought there would be no podium and podium steps because they gave Merlier his medals and jersey on what looked like a lawn... Obviously there was a podium that Merlier had to eventually walk up, but initially it looked like an award ceremony at a local fun run where the winners get their prizes in a parking lot and then everybody goes home. lol!

Anyhoo, congrats to Merlier, he seemed really happy about getting the stuffed lion. I imagine he'll probably sleep with it tonight. :)

I can't cope with how stupid Lidl-Trek were here.
Mads Pedersen would agree with you.

Biggest mistake they made was not instructing Skjelmose to pull through and make other teams chase harder.

Do I smell a little "I need to prove my worth because Milan/because out of contract" frustration with Pedersen?

That sounds a little extreme too me. He is always mad as hell when he/they miss what they set out to do.

Merlier best in this field. Tonight seems like another flat stage unfortunately, looking forward to the hills later in the week

That was indeed puzzling.
