Serves the sprinters right. Hat off to the 4 breakawayers and de Gendt and Voeckler in particular, well done. :)

I had Tommy V down to win..............yesterday.
A few teams will be fed up with the one man band that is Tommy de Gendt.

It sounded like Goss was having trouble and at the back of the main group from the ticker.

Was this a case where the other teams were counting on HTC to finish off pulling the break back... but with Goss struggling they didn't?

the sad thing is de gendt will get screwed :(
Tommy did do an awful lot of work during the race... but, yeah, without de Gendt they never would have held at the end.

Great finish, pleased they managed to stay away. Always good to see Tommy V win, but De Gendt was the star today, unbelievable ride!

don't get me wrong, I think they all did well and I never dislike a Tommy V win. But De Gendt carried them in the last 5-10km, but he get's rewarded anyhow, so all good :)

I'm sure he's content with taking yellow. Also, I don't think the others were really playing tactics much, they all looked pretty much spent.

Wow what a finish, De Gendt absolutely crucified himself to keep the break away and get the yellow back, and it's always great to see Voekler get a win.

Yeah, De Gendt got what he was riding for this time. Back in yellow. I never saw that coming. One happy sponsor I think. Good to see their Karma returned, after their positive and supportive stance when **** was hitting the fan from all sides, a couple of months back.

Heroic effort by de Gendt. Shame he didn't crown it with another stage win. I mean he must have taken 50% of the leads in the breakaway group.
